The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department is governed by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County in Georgia. The department offers a range of leisure and recreational programs for the individuals of all ages. It operates arts, athletics and natural resources divisions. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department maintains more than 15 local school and neighborhood parks. The department has a staff of over 75 full-time personnel. It provides assistance with the development of physical, social, cultural, artistic and intellectual leisure activities. The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department also assists with the acquisition and enhancement of natural areas. In addition, the department organizes summer camps and annual special events. It offers Christmas Parade, Moonlight Canoeing and Senior Adult Bingo programs.
