I am surprised and disheartened by the reviews of this clinic. I have been treated by many pain management specialist over the sixty seven years of my life. Some are abrupt, some are trying to diagnose health problems and seem abrupt. The Dr. with the thick accent is an excellent physician.

He really tries to help his patients. His office seems to run smoothly and his staff is certainly professional.

Are the other reviews written by inferior colleague? The other reviews are ridiculous .

Rude, staff. Dr Hassis was fine but couldn't help me because Carolinas Center For Advanced Management of Pain is very backward and out of date with what can help my condition.

Like most corporate medicine Carolinas Center For Advanced Management of Pain is about exploiting human suffering for mega $$$.

I visited Carolina Pain Management a few months ago. I went for chronic back pain aggravated by sitting. The office staff were nice and polite. As for the physician... he was one of the worst doctors I had ever seen. He immediately talked to me like I was malingering. I remember he said "there are only 3 reasons for back pain" he rambled them off and looked at me very condescendingly. After the appointment I asked him what I should do for the pain. He grabbed a sample pack of celebrex and handed it to me. What a jerk. I was in terrible pain. I returned for the medial nerve block to diagnose the reason for my misery. He proceeded with no pre med for the anxiety of having multiple needles stuck in your back and no pain med for after the medication wore off, which was only 3 hours. The pain that I experienced after the anaesthetic wore off was horrific. I called the office sobbing, begging for relief. The nurse said she would call me back. She didn't. I only went back for the follow up. I saw his PA. He was very nice. He advocated for me with the doctor to provide me with relief. I never returned. I was fortunate enough to find Blue Ridge Pain Management. I was provided with the care I desperately needed. When it came time for the dreaded medial nerve block I was reduces to tears because I had terrible PTSD from my experience with Carolina Pain. The doctor reassured me and told me they always pre med for anxiety and provide pain relief for after the procedure. If it wasn't for Blue Ridge Pain Management I don't know what would have happened to me. I was becoming severely depressed and bed ridden. My advice to you...STAY AWAY FROM CAROLINA PAIN MANAGEMENT.

The most awful experience I have had in my 67 years. I have seen a lot of docs in those years and nothing compares to this. I waited a month to get in that place and I wish I had never gone. I saw a Dr. Morono, heavy accent that I couldn't understand and he was abbrasive, abusive, listend to nothing I had to say. Said that for someone who claims to be in pain I could sit for a long period of time. He also made a sexist statement that I hadn't heard in today's society in years. He told my husband that "SHE" brought her better half with her. Maybe in his culture women are nothing but not here in the USA. He had me in tears bullying me so I left. There were obvious drug addicts wandering about the place. Not for me. There should be a minus rating system for this one.

First of all, It took almost two months to get an appointment....... I saw Dr R Stork. He walked in the room and started "drilling" me about my injuries and questioned my pain levels. He was loud, un-compassionate, and by far NOT a doctor that listens or that you can discuss your problems with.. I did not feel comfortable with him at all. Save your money and time and find someone else.

My second appointment, His first words were..." I'm not writing any narcotic pain pills for you for a while" Funny thing is I only went there to get steriod injections into my shoulder and broken collar bone.. I was so insulted.. needless to say I won't be going back...Should be ZERO stars
