We perform routine dental exams, dental X-rays, dental cleanings, teeth whitening, filling cavities, and minor dental surgery to more advanced procedures such as dental implants, crowns, and other cosmetic and restorative dental procedures. Dr. Nancy Bui is the founder of DentalFlossophy P.A. since 2000. Her mission is to advocate, educate, and motivate outstanding dental care. Dental Examination
Over-the-counter mouth rinses can help to fight bad breath, remove loose food particles after brushing, and freshen the mouth. However, mouth rinses are never a substitute for brushing, flossing, or regular dental examinations, and may disguise warning signs of periodontal disease.
X-rays
There is very little risk in dental X-rays. Dentists are especially careful to limit the amount of radiation to which children are exposed. We use lead aprons and high-speed film to ensure safety and minimize the amount of radiation.

Teeth Cleaning
Regular dental cleanings, performed by a registered dental hygienist, are a crucial part of preventive dental care. By removing plaque and tartar, your oral health is enhanced and your risk of gingivitis and periodontal disease are reduced. Your dental hygienist will utilize manual instruments to remove moderate plaque and tartar buildup, or an ultrasonic device to scale away heavier buildup. The cleaning is finished with polishing, a pleasant procedure that cleans the surface of teeth, removes stains, and leaves the mouth feeling clean and refreshed.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings that are applied to the grooves on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. They fill in the crevasses there, keeping out food particles that could get caught in the teeth and cause cavities. The application is fast and comfortable and can effectively protect teeth for many years.

Fillings
Resin Composite
Fillings. We will remove all areas of decay, and replace with a filling made of silver (amalgam) or composite resin. Composite resin fillings have surged in popularity because their appearance perfectly matches the natural appearance of teeth.
Veneers
Customized, wafer-thin veneers (also called porcelain laminates) are cemented directly onto the front of the tooth, resulting in a natural appearance that covers any irregularities or aesthetic concerns.
Crowns
A dental emergency is when your tooth breaks, cracks, becomes loose, or is knocked out completely. Sometimes, a dental crown can come off your tooth, or your lips, gums, or cheeks can be cut. Some emergencies can be avoided if you take simple precautions, such as wearing a mouthguard while you're playing sports and avoiding hard foods that can crack or break your teeth.
Bridges
Fixed bridges can improve chewing and aesthetic appearance, restoring the smile with a more permanent solution than dentures. Bridges replace missing teeth with artificial teeth. Your dentist will take a mold of the gap where a tooth is missing, and then send it to a laboratory to prepare a customized bridge. Before inserting the bridge, the surrounding teeth are prepared. The bridge is set into place and the artificial tooth is securely cemented to the adjacent teeth, restoring the attractive natural appearance and functionality of the tooth that was lost. If a resin-bonded bridge is chosen, the artificial tooth is secured by means of a metal appliance that attaches to the backs of adjacent teeth.
Dental Bonding
In addition to dental cleaning and checkups, we offer cosmetic dentistry services such as porcelain veneers, porcelain inlays, dental bonding, tooth contouring and reshaping, crowns, teeth whitening, dental bridges and tooth-colored fillings.
Restorative Dentistry
Almost everyone will experience tooth decay at some point in his or her life. Swift detection and correction of tooth decay can minimize the significant expenses and inconveniences associated with more serious problems caused by tooth decay. Restorative dentistry treats all phases of tooth decay, from simple cavity fillings to entire tooth replacements.

Root Canal Treatment
Nerves enter at the tip of the tooth's root and run through the center of the tooth in small, thin root canals, which join up in the pulp chamber. Each tooth has at least one root canal but may contain more.

Deep Cleaning
Periodontitis will require more aggressive treatment. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) may be recommended which involves the removal of plaque/calculus below the gums. For your comfort, anesthesia is used and the procedure is broken up into 2 (or more) visits for the deep cleaning itself and a final polish visit where we remove any residual stain and check for persistent areas of inflammation.

Dentures
Missing teeth can affect theway you eat and speak, and they can impact your appearance and self-esteem. Dentures are custom-made removable appliances, provided by a dentist, that can help alleviate there problems by replacing missing teeth. Overdentures
Overdentures fit over a small number of remaining teeth or implants after they have been prepared by Dr. Bui. She will usually try to preserve your remaining natural teeth. Saving these teeth can help preserve your jawbone and provide support for the denture.

Dental Implants
Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone. Integration of the implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit more comfortable than conventional substitutes.

Tooth Extractions
The most common complication associated with wisdom tooth extractions is dry socket, a painful condition that occurs when the blood clot at the extraction site does not form correctly or is lost prematurely. Because this blood clot serves as the foundation for new tissue and bone to develop, dry socket delays the normal healing process.

Orthodontics
Invisalign Orthodontics
An Invisalign-trained dentist will utilize 3D computer imaging technology to demonstrate the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position. This imaging technology is then used to design an individualized series of custom-made aligners. The patient wears the aligner for about two weeks while the teeth move incrementally. After two weeks, the current aligner is replaced with the next one until the final position is achieved.
Braces
Cost is always a concern, and only your doctor can determine the price of treatment. It is typically in the same range as ordinary metal braces, ranging from $3,000 to $5,000 or more, depending on the requirements of your case.

Teeth Whitening
A dental laser is an instrument that produces a very narrow, intense beam of light energy, which is used to help remove or shape tissue in the mouth. Dr. Bui uses dental laser for tooth-whitening procedures, gum disease therapy, the detection and removal of tooth decay, and detection and filling of cavities. Dr. Bui also uses a laser to remove lesions from your mouth and relieve canker sore pain. These lasers can reduce symptoms and healing times associated with a number of dental therapies, as well as help control bleeding and reduce the prevalence of mouth bacteria in diseased gum tissue and tooth cavities.
