        American Mattress was founded in 1988. Two co-workers from a local family owned mattress company became disheartened after the business was sold to a major corporation.The family owned culture quickly disappeared. Treating customers and employees like family was replaced by big corporate policies. The two friends decided to strike out on their own and create a company with a locally owned culture of friendships and treating every customer like family. The sleep industry had changed over the past 30 years, but the American Mattress brand has never wavered from its original beginnings and remains a symbol for unmatched customer service and the highest quality product offerings.

        Awesome customer service!!! No...

        Awesome customer service!!! Not only were the prices the lowest in Anderson, but the salesperson that day (Jeremiah) was focused on our needs. Without the "pushy commission based" feel, he greeted us and asked ALL the right questions and let us choose our new sleep set. I shopped 6 places before our purchase, but now realize the best mattress store for my friends and family is American Mattress!

        I was suprised and very happy ...

        I was suprised and very happy with my experience with this store. I walked in and the store manager greeted me-his name was Jeremiah. He was very helpful and informative, and he even found exactly what i wanted on display for about $100 less that what I had already picked out. Very good service!
