- Founded in 1987, Kids Corps is a nonprofit organization that provides the Head Start program to children and their families in Alaska. The company owns and leases more than five child service centers that include East Center, Davis Center, South Center, Mount View Center and Muldoon Center. Kids Corps serves over 335 children. It is governed by a board of directors, policy council and various advisory committees that is composed of community members, staff and parents of Head Start s children. Kids Corps has a staff of nearly 65 employees. It has partnerships with the community to assure a comprehensive system of family-centered services.
