Worst place to have to call in...

Worst place to have to call in a prescription refill to that Ihave ever experienced. Called first thing Monday morning, (2/13), and advised the girl that answered the phone that I was totally out of my meds. She said she'd get it taken care of ASAP, and she did advise me that the prescribing doctor was off, and she'd have to get another doctor to review my file and write a new one. A day and a half later, after normal business hours of the office, I get a message from my primary care physician that the scip is ready and can be picked up on the next business day, (2/15). I am very glad that the medication wasn't for something like insullin, or heart meds that I'd have to wait 3 days to refill, or maybe the office has too many patients to take care of in an efficent manner, in which case should this happen again, I can think of a way to cut at least one patient from their work load. The handling of this incident was deplorable and it makes me cringe that they couldn't find a doctor right in the office I originally called to review my file and write the prescription. And people wonder why the state of healthcare here in the U.S. is where it is these days.
