My experience at Turton Properties was the best ever! I lived there for over 3 years and the two women in the office..Jennifer & Mary treated me like family. They did not just take your money and off you go...They would ask about how you were doing..Or ask about your pets in the apartment. If I ever needed anything they always bent over backwards to help me. One time I was going out of town for a couple of days longer than I had planned. I called the office and they without heistation said they did not mind going to check on my cat and to check my mailbox. If I had a problem with something in my apartment like my garbage disposal breaking all I had to do was call them up and get them to put in a work order....Then usually within 24 hours the maint guy would come to my apartment and fix it..The maint. guy Mike was super super nice. He would always ask me if there is anything else in the apartment that I needed to have fixed...There is a security officer that lives in Lexington Apartments that is also a detective in town. When you move in they give you his cell phone number in case you have an emergency and you need to contact him and if he needs to get in touch with the office staff in the middle of the night they will take care of whaterver problem you might have...You can tell when someone truely loves there job and I think the whole staff there definately takes pride in there work! I would definately recommend them to anyone moving to Americus. The location is awesome because It is 1 mile from Walmart and 1/2 mile from Georgia Southwestern State University so you can walk to class..So YES definately rent from them!

I lived in this place for a year and had the worst experience of my life. First off, my friend and I moved in to an uncleaned, torn apart apartment. The cabinets were falling off, there were cracks in the tile, the floor had to be steam cleaned several times (by us with our money), every single closet was broken, we had to by a mat for the bathtub because we were too disgusted to stand in it, the ceiling downstairs was dented to the point that it looked like it was falling on us (something that was apparently "fixed" before we moved in, and the wallpaper was peeling off. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head. We had spiders and cockroaches every single day and several of them. I had a roach crawl across me in my bed upstairs one night so we counted how many we had within TWO days so we could complain and counted seven. They never did anything about this or anything else we complained about, including the cabinet that fell constantly and almost landed us both in the hospital multiple times. When we left, the manager tried to blame us for everything that was there when we moved in and tried extremely hard to convince the owner not to give us our deposit back. Oh, and if that's not enough in itself, if you have a dog, RUN and run fast from this place. The manager tried to charge us $2,000 to be paid in one day and tried to throw my dog out by that night because my dog had an accident in the house (which I cleaned spotless within about five minutes after she left). Thankfully, I moved out recently and am more than happy to be away from that place forever and wouldn't recommend it to anyone...ever.
