She continued her education at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, receiving her medical degree in 1989. After completing two years of an internal medicine residency at Metrohealth Medical Center (county hospital) in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Einhorn went on to complete a three-year residency in dermatology at the same institution. She has been in practice in Albuquerque since 1995. Dr. Einhorn is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a past president of the New Mexico Dermatologic Society. She also is a member of the New Mexico Medical Society.

As we get older, it's normal for the body to go through hormonal changes. Cell turnover slows, and natural oils become depleted along with hyaluronic acid—the transparent, gel-like substance our skin uses to retain large amounts of water. Some patients might experience their skin becoming inflamed and dry due to chronic skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, or an underlying medical condition like hypothyroidism.

Skin Cancer
One of the most effective treatments available today for skin cancer is Mohs micrographic surgery. With this method, the maximum amount of healthy tissue is preserved while ensuring that the skin cancer is completely removed. With this method the Mohs surgeon removes skin cancer by removing small amounts of normal skin as well the skin involved with cancer. This skin is examined under the microscope to evaluate if residual skin cancer remains and if so, where. The involved skin can then be removed further until the margins are clear.
