A fellowship trained shoulder and elbow surgeon, Lee Kaback, MD joined NEO in late August 2011. He brings specialized experience in minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder and elbow in addition to shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery. His professional training includes fellowships in shoulder and elbow surgery at Brown University and musculoskeletal research at the University of Rochester focusing on bone repair and fracture healing. Originally from Montreal, Dr. Kaback grew up in the Capital District. He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont. After an internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, NY, Dr. Kaback completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at Brown University, Providence, RI in August 2011. Dr. Kaback enjoys treating all athletic injuries in patients of all ages and his clinical interests and experience include arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery and sports medicine of the shoulder and elbow. He has significant expertise in treating shoulder and elbow instability, labral tears, and tendonitis of the shoulder and elbow (impingement syndrome, dislocations and tennis elbow). He also has advanced training in reconstructive, joint replacement (arthritis) and trauma surgery in the shoulder and elbow. He has been team physician at the collegiate and professional level including soccer, football, hockey, and lacrosse. Dr. Kaback is the author of several original peer-reviewed journal manuscripts, including various articles and book chapters regarding shoulder and elbow. He is also a clinical instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America. In addition to spending time with is wife and two children, Dr. Kaback enjoys swimming, triathlons, snowshoeing, running, alpine skiing, cycling. Dr. Kaback joined Northeast Orthopaedics in late August of 2011.
