Albany Edit & Video Transfer

I took a bunch of videotapes and some old 8mm's to Albany Edit be converted to DVD to give out as gifts to my kids and I can't say enough about how happy I am that I did. They explained the whole process and helped me figure out that I would need some thumb-drives too. They were very professional and friendly. The price was fair and the cheapest I could find locally, without sending it out in the mail. What I got back was wonderful and my hubby and I are laughing and crying as we watch them back. We can't wait to hand them out for the holidays.

I dropped off a usb flash drive of some footage transferred over to a DVD, I asked for two minor edits to be done to the movie removing about 10 seconds of footage and adding about 20 seconds of footage, I was told the cost would be $45 plus tax, after the work was done the cost turned out to be $59. After questioning the guy that worked there he told me said "don't give me shit", I was very respectful, polite, courteous the way I asked, he then started to get loud with me and told me if you don't like it take your business elsewhere. After he swore again using another curse word I told him is a very classy individual and he really knows how to treat customers seeing as how he is in the customer service industry, he then told me "go fuck your self " , I was not looking for any free work I was simply asking why I wasn't told about these extra charges ahead of time when I dropped off the USB drive and on my invoice it says $45. He then told me he would rather piss away $10 into take my money and give him business. The owner is aware of the situation and try to resolve it, I just felt uncomfortable at that point, I'm a six-figure employee arguing with a $10 an our employee, I have a lot more to lose than Tom, I went into the store the next day to pick up my product agreeing to pay the full amount he told me take my business elsewhere there is no product for you to take, he threw it away. He is an uneducated, ignorant individual who said he will never apologize for cursing me out. I never once raised my voice or used any curse words towards him throughout the entire process. I hate to put a bad review on the local businesses but this is exactly what happened and I would like others to be aware of my situation so they don't have to deal with this. Also I just opened up my flash drive they deleted 59 minutes worth of engagement video off my drive, luckily I keep I backup on the cloud , but what a Terrible person Tom is. Miserable bastard!
