Westover Comprehensive High School is a coeducational secondary school offering education to students in grades nine through 12. It provides academic and vocational and technical classes. The school offers college-preparatory, and technology and career-preparatory diploma programs. Its programs include the Marine Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp, accelerated reading, advanced-placement, and gifted and talented programs. It provides education in various subjects, including arts, foreign languages, English, mathematics, social science, physical education, science, technology, business, computer application, and family and consumer science. Its advanced placement courses include various subjects, including calculus, statistics, biology, chemistry, physics, and world languages. It has a media center featuring various books, an electronic database and Internet access. It also provides various athletic programs and co-curricular activities. The school is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Georgia Accrediting Commission. It is a member of the Dougherty County School System and is located in Albany, Ga.
