Took my Toshiba Tablet to this "repair facility" to replace the battery. They did not call me like they said they would. When I called they stated they would call me back, never received a return call from them. When I called again they stated they could not work on this unit. In the process they:

1. Broke the tabs for the power button

2. Broke the tabs for the USB Port

3. Lost my brand specific charger and cord

4. Scratched the case.

Now the unit is totally worthless, and will not come on at all. Which it did when they accepted it for repair

UPDATE: They gave me back the wrong tablet , in spite of the owner stating on the phone that the last excite tablet they looked at was last year. Now they cant locate my tablet and have yet to return my property

Please, please, PLEASE save yourself the cash and aggravation and do not set foot in this man's store for anything, especially not to trust him with the repair of your device. I am almost 99 percent certain he has absolutely no idea what he is doing and I am so, so dissatisfied with the service I received from this place. I paid him over 150 dollars to fix my phone, which was just a broken screen/digitiser. He told me he would have the part ordered and it fixed within the week. Get my phone back, works fine for like an hour and then the screen blacks out on me. I take it back and he says, oh this and this is wrong, and he orders the parts to fix it. He gave me my phone back multiple times, still not fixed, getting my hopes up. Get my phone back, for what I hoped was the last time, after asking him,"Will this continue happening". He said, no, that it should be fine now. Broken and not responding within the hour, I take it back to him, only for him to tell me it is not fixable, and that there is nothing he can do with it. A whole 5 weeks later. He wouldn't give me my money back. He is completely ridiculous and I wish that I had never bothered with him or set foot in his establishment. The last time I walked out I was crying out of anger.

Don't go!

I was told my device would be fixed in two hours and it took two weeks. The owner told me that he had many customers and that my one bad review would not hurt his business. I will not do business there again!

Do not bring your water damaged phone to this "doctor"!!! I dropped my iPhone 5 off around 2 o'clock (and paid $45) and they told me to be back in 2 hours. I came back, and the employee hadn't even started looking at my phone. I waited another hour, and the employee told me that my phone looked like it was going to work. 30 minutes later and the man said "nope, it won't work" because of some rust inside of it and asked me if i wanted him to throw it away for me. I definitely didn't let him do that. I took it to the SmartPhone MD in Columbia and the employee had my phone up and running in 5 minutes. I paid $39 for them to get the screen working without having to pay for a digitizer (which would be about $100). SmartPhone MD does not charge you if they cannot fix the phone. Long story short, don't waste your time/money in Aiken and go to Columbia!

Never bring your phone here!!!!! This place is awful. They told me that my phone couldnt be fixed and still charged me $80, so I took it to a place in Augusta and they fixed it in a hour for $20. This place sucks!!

I hate I had to give a star. you’d be better off burning your phone than taking it here.

My phone had a small crack in the glass. Everything worked fine, no problems.

I made the HUGE mistake of bringing it here and almost 7 weeks later, they had to replace, or so they say, the start button, LCD/LED screen, soft button ribbon, front and back cameras, etc. Then, when I finally took phone, they lost my SIM tray.

I asked for paperwork to back this all up and was told that the manager/owner, Mike Harley, would get to it “when he had time”. No one from there ever called me. I had to initiate all the calls. Every order was delayed due to a Chinese holiday, or at least that is what I was told, every time.

If you want your phone repaired right, pay a professional to do it instead of bringing it to this place. You may never see it again, if you don’t.

If I could give them a ZERO, I wouldl. I am VERY disappointed in the unprofessional behavior (LYING and poor business practices) of the Smartphone Doctor. I initially went to the Smartphone Doctor after getting a big crack in my phone case (the local Verizon Wireless recommended them). The bad service began at the onset, as it took several tries to even reach someone in the office during the stated business hours. (I would show up and no one was there). After several phone calls and a couple of visits, I finally met Mike Harley (recently identified as the owner) and Travis (until very recently, a manager at the Aiken Smartphone doctor location). During my first in-person visit, I met both Mike and Travis but dealt almost exclusively with Travis, who (in Mike’s presence) identified himself as both the owner of the business, and the proprietor of a second location in Columbia, SC (incidentally, Travis also stated that he was training Mike, a statement backed up by Mike’s requesting computer system assistance during my initial visit).

After dropping off my phone, things appeared to proceed well. Travis even offered me a 15% discount on service due to all the inconvenience, what should be seen as the mark of a good and conscientious business owner. However, when I showed up to pick up my phone, I was offered a second deal by Travis. Rather than honoring the 15 % discount, he instead offered to GIVE me a new, sturdier protective case. After I agreed, he and I looked at a catalogue from one of their distributors and picked out the exact case I wanted, which he would then order. He went on to state that “You’re actually getting a better deal since this is worth more than the 15 % off. I of course then paid in full, with the expectation that I would come back in a week to pick up my new case.

As a customer, I had no reason to doubt the (identified) owner of the establishment on his offer. However, I later got a call from Mike (Harley) telling me that he's confused on me a getting a FREE case. Even more confusing is that Mike tells me he's the business owner and that Travis is HIS employee, or rather was his employee as he “had to let Travis go” recently. Needless to say, this is blowing my mind because these TWO were right beside each other as Travis was saying that he was the business owner and he was expanding to AIKEN after starting similar smart phone repair businesses in Columbia, SC. Mike then proceeds to go through a brief tirade, with the crux being that "as a business owner, I can't give you a free because...". I said to him, "I paid in full and was promised a free case. After a back and forth, I said “Well, if I can’t have the case, credit me for the 15 % that I was initially offered. His response was to “offer” that I buy a case from his business (which was literally in the process of burning me) at a 10 % discount (a savings of roughly $5). When I reiterated my initial request, he then hung up in my face. It is deplorable that a business owner would behave in this way, actually asking me to spend more money with them after they broke their word. As a customer, I clearly feel deceived. There is still something to be said for honesty and integrity in business. I will NOT recommend these people to any of my friends. Buyer Beware!!
