I am a retina specialist practicing in Central Florida. As a retina specialist, I treat and perform eye surgery on patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal detachments. To become a retina specialist, I had to complete a fellowship allowing me to subspecialize. My specialty is Ophthalmology whereas my sub-specialty is a retina specialist. My residency at Georgetown University allowed me to provide general eye exams and my fellowship at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center allowed me to subspecialize as a retina specialist. At my current practice, Florida Retina Consultants, we provide retinal care to central Florida, with offices in Lake Mary, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Sebring, and Zephyrhills. The group takes care of patients with retinal diseases; macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, complications of cataract surgery, detached retinas, etc. At Florida Retina Consultants, I am surrounded by some of the most experienced staff I could ever imagine. This means I am able to provide the best retina care imaginable. I am very proud of the care we provide our patients with retinal diseases. All of us are retina specialists and we work closely with your primary eye care doctor to provide the most modern, comprehensive eye care possible. We have the latest in diagnostic equipment including digital fluorescein angiography and OCT. We have employed a brand new computerized record keeping system to make our office green and environmentally friendly (as well as super-efficient!). At home, I’m really busy with our 3 boys. I love to weight train and run. I’ve completed several marathons including the Chicago Marathon and the Disney Marathon.
