I was referred by a sleep clinic who was referred by my PCP and the sleep study group had me follow up on my sleep study one year later and bring my equipment in when I come in. The equipment needed replaced so they referred me to HCS. The sleep clinic fax the paperwork to HCS and told me I would be contacted shortly. I waited 2 to3 weeks but no contact They had my cell # so I wouldn't miss the call, (I travel a lot for work) I didn't hear anything so I contacted the sleep clinic and they said it was faxed, I asked the sleep clinic what their phone # was and I called it. It went into voice message and told me they would get back to me asap, that never happened I called continue for 3 days and all I got was a busy signal, then I finally got thru to a real voice and she checked and said no fax. I told her I lived in Ohio and she told me I was talking to Pittsburgh Pa. and I had to call Boardman Oh Office So I did and they said they did not receive a fax but to contact my sleep clinic and have it fax to a 800# so I did I waited over a week and no response so I called the HCS office back in Boardman Oh again and I got another person who was giving me a lot of lip service and no results. This has been going on since Feb. 6th 2017 and I'm still waiting I'm going to contact my PC tomorrow and cancel this company. I wish I would have read the reviews before I went with them. I'm Telling Don't use them!!!!!!!!!!!!
The person at the front desk who made sure things were done is no longer there. If you are on their financial assistance they do not let you know when it expires and you pay full price. They told me to fill out and send another form and it was retroactive. A few months later, as i was not transferred asked for another financial assistance for. have not received it and was told it is not retroactive. Did not receive until 3 calls later and received over a month a month later. Then was told they didn't want it as i had moved to another state and was being transferred. Was not transferred and have been calling them for 6 months and still not done. Am being told my file is transferred but company here has not received it. Form not sent to my Dr. for sign off a year ago so medicare has not been billed for a year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I did not give this company one star because after what I have been going through they do not deserve one star.I have been going to Eye Care since I was a very young child, so as an adult I still felt a loyalty to the company. This is my mistake. I went to them for two reasons. First I had a scratch on my eye from my young child and need help, which they did. After I thought that was healed I developed an infection in my eye. I went back to Eye Care saw one of their doctors who prescribed eye drops and told me to come back tomorrow just to make sure that the medicine was working. And that is how he said it to me. When I went to the office the next day they sped through the process, not like a normal office visit. They didn’t even ask me for my copay. Fast forward after the fact the company sent me a bill for my copay in which I called and contested from moment one, with no response from the company or the doctor. My last visit to the office I had another bad experience. I even had the invoice in my pocket but never saw the doctor. There was an emergency with another patient and instead of tell me what was going on they let me sit in the chair for over an hour. I then left the office upset about the situation leaving the invoice with the front desk telling them that I needed a call from the doctor to explain the charge. The doctor NEVER CALLED he decided to send me a letter apologizing for the experience but again avoiding the invoice. Later I got a notice from a collection agency for this $30.00 copay. I immediately called faxed all the info to them and again no response from Eye Care Associates. Needless to say they are still coming after me for my Copay ($30.00)
I have never received such a welcoming experience from a doctor or staff! The service was excellent, everyone was so thorough! I received my order sooner than expected! Overall, I've always had an amazing experience in Austintown!
Seriously pay your damn bill you were seen. Like you didn't forget to mention the copay. You're just trying to rip them off. Smh
You are seen so they forgot to ask for your copay ummm you didn't feel it necessary to speak up and mention it? $30 is nothing you were seen shut up and pay your damn bill!
Was looking online for an eye provider for my son for his first visit ever to an eye care professional GLAD I READ REVIEWS, WON'T BE TAKING MY SON HERE!!! @dance reviewer you said you were seen but they didn't ask for your copay. Repeat you WERE SEEN shut up and pay your bill, $30 SERIOUSLY THAT'S NOTHING!!! @other reviewer that wait time was ridiculous, I would have walked out too. I have adhd and would have freaked. Thanks for your review. Hopefully you found a better provider. There's a HUGE difference in being thorough and just taking advantage of people! Smh
I took my 6 year old in for an exam, for back to school. During the exam, I explained that my son only knows some letters & that letters like b,d,h and f he confuses with other letters. I was ignored. She asked my son questions about his vision, then she wouldnt allow him to answer without her interrupt & finishing his sentences. At the end of the appointment he was given a prescription for the glasses. I was not pleased nor did I feel he really needed them. With & without the Rx, he misread the some letters. After the appointment, I asked my son if he had forgotten some of his letters or if he really couldnt see them. He said, he couldnt remember all of them, so he guessed or didnt answer. She was extremely impatient, rushed him throughout the exam. I questioned the technician about his vision, she stated "theres a different hesitation when kids dont know." We come back to pick up the glasses. I asked if he could be taken back to reread the board with the glasses, that irritated her.
The doctor is very arrogant. he also wanted my girlfriend to pay $83 for a contact exam, which is supposed to include being shown how to put them in and a trial pair, and come back next week to get her trial pair. Then he got an attitude when I demanded she get them at the time of paying for them.
Went there got eye exam orders glasses they called me 3 x for insurance info called them 2 x after to find out where my glasses where been 6 wk they said never had an order for glasses mine broke that's why I went kept my money never got glasses sent me my vision script in mail went and paid for glasses at another place cause my insurance wouldn't cover another pair wich i never got. Stay far away for this place bad there a joke won't be in business long they treat customers like this
