Campus Healthcare

There has not been a day that has gone by since I began working with New Beginnings Care that I have not been amazed at the dedication of most of the staff at Campus Healthcare & Rehab. There have been a few ups and downs as the corporate management company has gone through the growing process and the staff has remained professional and dedicated to providing the best care possible for the residents.

Since Campus Rehab & Health Care Center was taken over by New Beginnings Care in January, 2015, the nursing home is deplorable in all service areas, both for residents and the staff that work there. As a former resident, I felt that I'd receive better care in a jail cell (although I've never been incarcerated). Resident personal funds were mishandled and unavailable to residents, against State standards; the food supply was insufficient at best; getting water to drink was even a problem; no complaints were handled through standard Grievance procedures, at least the ones that I voiced. STNAs were allowed to be negligent in caring for residents, etc. The State investigated and found 100+major violations of standards. Recently, staff checks are bouncing! In my opinion, the State needs to closely consider closing this facility as not meeting minimal standards of adequate care and services. Why are the doors still open? It puzzles many current and former residents and staff. I have a hard time even giving this facility a one-star rating, which is very much below State averages.
