We have been severely lacking a solid Chinese restaurant in our area for at least five years. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I not only liked Happy Buffet, but loved it so much that I ate there two days in a row. They are constantly filling pans with fresh food, even when we are the only patrons in the establishment. I loved nearly everything I tried, which is no small feat, because we are definitely food snobs. :)I'm not certain that the above poster was in the same restaurant as we were, or if he just ODed on their awesome ice cream and is grumpy from a wicked sugar crash.... Our experience has always been fabulous!!! Thanks, happy buffet :)
This LOW QUALITY Buffet started nicely a few weeks ago, but turned out to be one of the WORST places I ever visited. They had ONE person that was nice and respectful to the customers and now that person left them just like 5 others that came in , worked there for a few days, and left in a rush! Apparently their food is not clean., Not fresh, and the kitchen stuff may do other things to it!! They encourage their female waitresses to fondle male customers like it was a Brothel!! They have people who work there that have been involved with stealing items from Walmart!! They are LOUD , and Scream in Chinese NON STOP!'How can anyone sit down to eat in a place like that??I would not set foot in that place EVER AGAIN!!
Rarely do I try out "new" Chinese buffets, as I have not been satisfied with any other than Main Moon in Hermitage or Fortune Garden on Belmont Ave. Wanting to be a bit adventurous and step outside of my comfort level, I settled on the Grill Buffet in Boardman. Other than the seafood salad (which is essentially fool-proof), all of the food that I tried was horrific. The restaurant only serves a small selection of chicken, maybe three or four different flavors. The General Tso's chicken was incredibly sour and the black pepper chicken dry. The restaurant also claims to serve American food, but the only American food on the buffet were french fries and chicken wings. The biggest problem I had with this restaurant was the fact that their pineapple marshmallow salad (on the dessert bar) was fermented. I took one bite into the dessert and it tasted like pure alcohol. Had a child come into contact with this, the owners of the Grill Buffet would be in some deep water.I will never go back to this restaurant.
