6 minutes agoWe had inclement weather (snow, freezing rain, & ice) on Sunday, February 4. By Monday afternoon, the driveway and parking areas of the Dover apartment complex still had not been cared for. I called and sent in a maintenance request on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, February 6, nearly 48 hours later, trucks were sent out to plow our parking area. On Wednesday, February 7, we again had snow, freezing rain, and ice. Once again, nothing was done to care for the property. I again had to submit a maintenance request asking for someone to come shovel and salt. The driveway conditions were so poor on both occasions that it took me multiple attempts to get my car up the hill of the driveway to the parking area when I returned home.As well, I provided 60 days notice (more than the required 30 days) of my intent to vacate. The final month of my residency included multiple required showings to potential new tenants. I tried to object because I work from home, but I was told that I was required to allow entry with 24 hours notice.When I moved out, I asked for a walk through inspection. Despite the 24 hour availability of Sherman staff to show my apartment to new tenants, they told me that they were not available to complete a walk through with several days advance notice on my part. They also refused to mail me a copy of the inspection report despite multiple requests. They waited until Day 30 to return my security deposit.Overall, Sherman is not interested in providing good customer service.
Horrible money hungry company who will not return your security deposit even if you leave the property in better shape than when you got it. I spent over 1k on improvements and after I moved out they charged me 500.00 for moving 2 hay bales. Unethical and horrible. They won't return calls and good luck getting maintenance to fix anything without them trying to charge you for things THEY should be fixing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! It was the worst experience I have ever had renting.
I've been a tenant of York Property Management Groups for almost a year. YPMG has always been very courteous to me on the phone, I've never been hung up on or spoken to by YPMG in any disrespectful manner on the phone or in person.Their very prompt with any maintenance issues that I may have at my rental unit, which was built in 1911, which is not bug nor rodent infested. Like all tenants of YPMG, in our leases it states clearly that it is the tenants responsibility to keep your unit bug & rodent free, not the landlords. Tenants that complain about YPMG, I suggest that you all go back and reread your lease that you willfully signed & agreed to. As tenants we have responsibilities, make sure you are doing yours. I have no issues with YPMFG, they're very good Landlords
Do not waste your time trying to rent from them!They are the only management group in town who requires to run your credit BEFORE they will even show you a place to "avoid no shows" then I drive two and half hours only to have their agent no show on me. Twenty minutes later I got in touch with Gene, the agent, not from him answeing or retuning my calls but from getting a hold of someone in the office who made him call me then he lied to me about having communicated with the owner . Save your time and don't deal with these unprofessional liars and owners, please, list with a company that treats people better.
I've been a renter through this MGMT group for a few months now... I was recommended by friends that also rent through them, and from what I saw of their place and what I heard was nothing but positive things. Before I moved my stuff in I went through and made a list room by room of all the things wrong and told them about it. I had to wait 2 weeks after I moved in for a refrigerator and stove, the people they had come in to instal both were unprofessional and caused several damages moving things in and while I wasn't home, they brought a small child with them on the occasion that I was home and helped themselves to my bathroom (which involves walking through the entire place to get to). I have an unfinished kitchen floor, and all my windows are rotted out around them to the point i have a serve draft and despite my heat being on it's just as cold inside as it is outside, the toilet constantly runs, and there is a bug problem... Just to name a few of the unfixed issues with this place. They blamed it all on me and my "quick move in". I gave them my security deposit 2 weeks before I moved in giving them enough time to move the old tenant out/fix things around here but they literally let her stay until 20 minutes before I signed my lease and she still had stuff here when I came in. I spent the first day cleaning mold and mildew out of the kitchen/bathroom and trying to get the carpets clean enough to walk on. The other people in my building have grievances about them too... They don't pay the bills they're supposed to on time and won't pick up their phones an claim its all on the landlord and they are just "the middle men". I do not recommend them to any one. They are nice but don't do anything for the properties.
THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!i moved from Lancaster looking for a place for me and my son..A friend told me about renting from here..Me being new to the area i should of checked around right..First off, I went into the office and wasnt even noticed by anyone that worked there..Them girls were worried about everything, didnt even noticed me and my boyfriend walk in.. Finally i was asked if i needed something...eventually they showed me a couple of apartments..I found one suited for me and my son they were quick to take my security deposit and rent of course..There were arrangements done that the property management was suppose to take care of..Itz been two weeks that i have been in my apartment i have called various of times to find out on the status of the work orders that were to be done...the staff is very unprofessional and rude on the phone...in one case they even hung up on me...i regret dealing with these people...so waiting for my lease to end to get up quick out of here....if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know!!!!! an angry tenant!!!
