When I first visited Weckers, I was happy that it seemed I had found a local business that has a decent selection and pleasant salespeople. The sign on their entry door stresses the importance they place on being a family-owned business that truly focuses on customer satisfaction. So, if those things are important to you, Weckers may be the right choice for you. Also, if you're looking for a company that comes into YOUR home and tells you that they (not you) are the boss while they're there, then Weckers is definitely the place for you. We ordered carpet for two rooms in our home at an ok price and scheduling the installation was easy. But any positive experience with Weckers ended there. Two installers showed up on installation day. As they were bringing the rolls of new carpet into our home, I asked them if they would wear shoe covers, as we do not wear shoes in our home. Plus, I explained, our driveway and garage (through which they were bringing in the carpet and tools from their van) are in desperate need of a good power wash and will leave the bottom of your shoes coated in black grit and grime within two steps (part of the reason for the no shoes rule). Since we were installing light-colored carpet, I thought that was a reasonable request. But to my surprise, my request was instantly met with immediate no's and facial expressions that would've left me dead if looks could kill. I mean, how dare I make a simple request in my own home. With an "I'm the boss here" attitude, the one installer said he finds it too slippery to wear covers (which if there is an acceptable "no" answer here, that is it). He then turned to the other installer and asked him if he would wear them. That installer replied that he simply "didn't want to." That's right folks, he just didn't want to. We bought our house as a fixer upper and we've had countless electricians, plumbers, contractors, painters, etc. enter our home and none have ever refused my request. And refused is the right word here. Even a courteous explanation of company policy would have been preferable to the flat-out disrespectful response I received. I was embarrassed in my own home. At the end of the day, I will get over the fact that my new carpet is covered with garage oil and grit (I have pictures to prove this was tracked through my house), but I can't get over the disrespect showed to me in my own home after I spent thousands of dollars with this family-owned, customer-focused company. What a joke. It is clear that once Weckers has made the sale and has your money, their focus on the customer goes out the window. So, if you really want to feel disrespected and disregarded, Weckers is definitely the place for you!

We pride ourselves in being a local business that goes the extra mile to make sure our customer has a pleasant experience from the buying process to the installation process. Wearing shoe covers during the carpet installation can be a very difficult task and we would like to apologize for our installation crew not explaining that to you and just saying that they where not going to wear them. We have spoken with your sales man and said that in his follow up with you the installation of the carpet turned out great. We have spoken with our installers and have educated them on the right way to handle this situation if it should arise in the future. had carpet and laminate installed last year. Carpet guys were great, Laminate guys horrible! We have chips in floor from install not fixed, molding not installed. Section of laminate was cut so close to wall now when you step on it makes a cracking sound. They also cut the laminate in OUR HOUSE!!. They saleperson told us they use only Weckers employees however they are mostly subcontractors driving Weckers trucks or non lettered vehicles. So when we called to speak to someone other then the sales person thy told us there was no one to speak to.

We had Wecker's install laminate in our dining room. At the store my wife and I were impressed with all the kinds of laminate they had. We were able to find a nice look for a pretty good price. Jen was our salesperson and my wife and I found her very helpful, especially in selecting an area rug that would go great with the laminate we picked out. We especially liked that Wecker's had their own guys do the installation work. We didn't want to have to spend extra time calling outside installers to get it done. They did a very precise job and worked in our home very respectfully. We would absolutely recommend Wecker's because their people were easy to work with, it didn't take up a lot of time and after comparing pricing at two other stores, they had the best price for the type of laminate / installation - even the price on the rug was very good.
