The honest truth...

I love Saving Grace! I think MeatMarket may have gotten a wrong impression or simply misunderstood the conversations he/she was overhearing. MeatMarket, if you are reading this now, please consider visiting our church again, getting reconnected, and maybe even confronting those you overheard and were stumbled by. We never promise to be ""perfected."" As Christians, we simply desire to serve and worship our true and living God who is worthy of nothing less but a completely surrendered life.

Are we all surrendered? Absolutely not, it's a moment by moment decision each of us most make every single day and most of the time, I fail. We all fail. But we have a Lord of Grace and Mercy who loves us anyway - we must exercise that Grace, especially with those who seem the most ""unworthy...""

At Saving Grace, Pastor Trent's teaching is purely sound doctrine. There is NO legalism, NO ""policy,"" and women are definitely not discouraged from having their own careers!

I myself am an entrepreneur and run a very successful business along with my husband and have never felt the pressure to quit work or dress a certain way or act/behave in any particular manner. The fellowship here is beautiful and we have so many nationalities, languages, cultures, and ages represented here.

Our body recognizes that church is a place for sinners, not for ""saints."" We are here because we recognize a need for change in ourselves...to align our hearts and our desires with God's will for our lives.

The Word of God is presented completely, without bias, and without apologies. Our ears are not ""tickled"" with things we want to hear, but simply the honest truth. Does everyone want to hear the truth? Especially if it's ""offensive?"" Most often not, which is why we must always ask God to search our hearts and to prepare our minds to be open to the Word of God.

Our Pastor studies tirelessly, gives us verse after verse of scripture to cross reference and encourages us to ""test' the Word. We are challenged to increase our prayer life, our faith, and encouraged to study the Word of God. But what I love most about Saving Grace, is the freedom to worship, the freedom to laugh or cry, the freedom to weep, and the freedom to simply be overwhelmed with JOY as I am reminded that God loves me SO much! Every week, I feel like Pastor Trent's message was directly given to him by God to talk to me and me alone about an area in my life where I am experiencing ""spiritual growing pains."" I really do feel like the messages are just for me! But then, when I ask around, everyone says the same thing! :) That's the living Word of God working in our lives and the lives of those we love. When its been like this for the nearly 6 years I've been attending Saving Grace, it can't be a coincidence. :)

I've been so blessed by the teachings and fellowship here at Saving Grace. I pray that God will help you, the reader, find your home church. If you are ever in the area or considering attending our church more regularly, don't be shy, please come by and visit! We'd love to meet you. :)

For the record

Awesome church!

This is an awesome church with very sound doctrine.... Pastor Trent is very thorough in his teaching.... God is mightily using him.

I don't understand what ""disneyfan"" is saying, or if he's just making things up.
I haven't noticed anything legalistic about this church... a lot of people throw that term around when they don't want to obey the clear teachings of Scripture.

There is a guy there named James...they probably jokingly called him Big Game ...after the basketball star nicknamed Big Game James...which was his nickname because of his extraordinary achievements in the basketball game. There is no filth talk going on in this church.....just encouragement to follow Jesus.

Meatmarket

This church is horrible and very legalistic.

The men attending this church go around encouraging each other to hook up with the women that attend there.

It's a young crowd. There is a group of men that call this one particular man Big Game...hmm I don't know about you but that doesn't sound very Christian.

But if your a woman and you like wearing skinny jeans don't attend this church otherwise ""you will be rebuked"". There is a lot of double standards. They don't believe that women should be career minded.
Attend At Your Own RIsk.

Exciting church with awesome worship.

I love this church. The average age tends to be on the younger side, but there are also lots of people of every age. The pastor, Trent, teaches in-depth from the Word of God and you will certainly learn a lot at this church.
