After going to 2 other supposed "expert" Subaru places, and wasting countless weeks, NOBODY could fix my transmission problem. I found Aamco online and decided to give them a try. To be honest, they were stumped at first too. But they considered it a challenge and would not stop until they were done. They not only fixed the problem, but they gave me a very good deal too. These guys are great and they know what they are doing. They've gained my future business!
Told you they had my future business!
I purchased a '94 ford E150 van way back in 2011, and one problem always bothered me. When I came to a stop, the engine would stall and I had to put it in gear, start it again, and drive on. Over the years, this became more and more frequent. Since 2011, I had been going to different auto repair places and not one of them could figure out why. So when I had such good luck with my Subaru at AAMCO, I figured I'd give these guys a try again. John called me back quickly, letting me know that it could be one of 2 problems, but he wanted to get my "go ahead" to investigate the problem and start taking stuff apart. The first scenario he said would probably run about $1200. The second scenario would be a lot less than that. I gave him the go ahead and guess what? It was the LOWER PRICED alternative! I thank these guys not only for their quickness and efficiency of resolving the issue, but their HONESTY as well! I can't see any reason NOT to go back!
Replaced a transmission on my Liberty. Had an issue and brought it back. They couldn't find why it happened but on my word, replaced it again. The issue came up again, but after searching for a week, found another shop had messed up the brake system causing the problem. Thru it all they were very understanding. I would highly recommend them.
VERY unscrupulous and dishonest. Went in for an oil change. When I went to pay my bill they told me they had to put on new windshield wiper blades because mine were shot. The thing is, I had just had the blades replaced less than two weeks ago so not only did I not authorize it, it was a total lie. My blades are in perfect shape. When I screamed that they were trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman they took off the blades they had just put on and then put on my old blades. I couldn't believe it. They kept saying sorry, must have been a mistake. There were no other cars there at the time. The mistake for them was that I caught there fraud. Do not patronize them under any circumstances or you will end up with a lot of repairs you don't need.
Unfortunately I got a ride to when my repair went bad. Instead of replacing my transmission they may have overhauled it. Car was given back with more problems caused by their negligence. I do not why mechanics cannot say when they make a mistake or apologize for it. I was given back a car twice with a wiring problem they caused. Instead of finding the problem thay looked elsewhere. I had to go to a dealor who found the wire that was causing the problem. Before this I was given an unsafe car. My instrument panel was not working and my lights went out at night without notice. tey driving in the dark around a mountain. I have documentation from other mechanics who state the instrument cluster was working fine as far back as a week before work was performed by them. They had the nerve to give me a report dated three months before they worked on car stating the problem was there before they worked on it. spent $4,000. These guys are wise guys and they will take your money. After wire was repaired and computer reset itself a new problem arose. Another broken part from their repair. DO NOT HAVE REPAIRS HERE. I PLAN TO PICKET SAY HELLO.
