I love this store, I am crushed to see they are closing ( if that is true) Im sure Cindy does make a great profit but that's what happens in a store. They store, sell, wrap and promote your item, they should make a good profit. Cindy is a great person, what ever her reason to close is, I for one will miss her and her store very much

I love this place, been shopping there for years, but I hear the owner needs to close

...But she might sell. Question for the other reviewer or others (not that they will see this) - if the store were under new management/ownership and some policies changed would you as a consignor consider going back?

I sold items at the Commoditie...

I sold items at the Commodities Market Inc, in Wrentham MA, and it is a scam! Anyone who is thinking about selling their items at the Commodities Market Inc, please keep in mind Cindy (the owner) has a policy that is 100% for her to make money. The policy is in NO WAY, for the people bringing in the consignments for them to make money. Cindy now charges $10.00 per sheet of items (even if the sheet isnt full), so what's on the website has not been updated! Cindy also takes a 50/50 split, and items after 30 days are automatically decreased by 15% every 30 days until 90 days! Then you are to pick up your remaining items, and your check. No courtesy call is made! If you dont pick up your items by the pick up date, you will get the Cindy's wrath! Cindy overcharges the people who bring in the consignments, and forgets to speak and treat them with respect! Cindy has a habit of talking down to her workers, and people who bring in the consignments. This is not a place of business, but a circus act! BE AWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I stumbled upon this little antique consignment shop, and was enthralled. The prices are reasonable, the assortment is vast, and discounts are applied as the item remains in the shop longer. This is a must visit shop. I drive up from the Cape, over 45 minutes.
