Ophthalmology
A native of Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Miedel graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. He earned his medical degree with summa cum laude honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After medical school, Dr. Miedel completed a one-year internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a three-year ophthalmology residency at the Wills Eye Institute, generally regarded one of the country’s best eye hospitals. He served as chief resident in his final year of training. Dr. Miedel joined Wooster Eye Center in 2007. He has a particular interest in cataract and anterior segment surgery. He lives in Wooster with his wife and three children. He is member of Oak Grove Mennonite Church in Smithville.
