Corner Bistro

The staff is very nice. However, don't be fooled by reviews that claim this is home made, well made, food, and don't expect a nice sit down restaurant. This is a run of the mill counter service place with cheap and tacky furnishings and truly sub - par food. I ordered the 'french dip" everyone is raving about. leathery slices of roast beef from a deli pack served with a flavorless bowl of - maybe it's canned beef soup with the vegetables drained out? does not qualify as a french dip sandwich in my book - certainly not a home made one. The other members of my party had less risky items ( yes, here, french dip is risky) and they were all the sort of santdwhich you'd make at home. From the reviews, you'd think this is similar to Canvas near Marietta Square or some other restaurant where care is given to the food. It's world's from that. The ONLY hting going for this place is that the staff is friendly and feels bad if you give an honest answer to their question "how was your meal". and hustles aroud trying to make up for it. That's kind of them, but it's the WRONG time to care about the food you're sending out of the kitchen. My advice, get someone with understated good taste to redo your dining room ( even a trip to Ikea would improve it) and buy some cookbooks, and stop trying to pass off prefabbed food as home made.

If you like friendly service, large portions, great prices and all homemade then you need to try this place.



They have awesome sandwiches and salads as well as breakfast food! They have incredilbe homemade soups every day and by far the best French Dips, Reubens and Chicken Salad in town!! We love this place!!
