The owner was so unprofessional! I had an interview, so when I got there, no one was at the front desk. I had to ring the door bell repeatedly and was about to walk away after standing there for like 5 minutes! Finally someone opened the door, but I had no idea it was the person who was going to be interviewing me bc after she let me in, she asked me to have a seat. I sat down thinking I was waiting on the manager/director to come from the back because this person continued carrying on a conversation as if I wasn't there to see her. She continued talking and giggling with another lady who worked there apparently, then I finally asked her if she was the one who'd be interviewing me. She said yes!! I was shocked, completely and utterly and my first instinct was to just get up and walk out, I mean, how unprofessional!! Anyway, long story short, during the tour, she walked in front of me the whole time, never beside me, conversing with me or asking me if I had any questions. Smh....and this is the manager/ director!!?? Nevertheless all of the teachers were extremely nice, it was the best part of the tour, and the children as well. However, this manager/director needs some more lessons on professionalism and interpersonal skills!! What a joke!!
My daughter is shy but she adores her teachers and really takes advantage of everything she learns there
I like that most teachers stay there, no one is running out the door. They keep their staff and everyonestays so there isn't a turnover rate.
My daughter is a pretty shy gal. She takes time to warm up to teachers, kids, you name it. It's been an amazing experience for her to comfortably warm up to everyone
Gracie has learned so much from Discovery Point I could not ask for a better learning environment for my daughter
Discovery Point Development Centers encourage a positive learning environment. I would recommend the school to my friends and family!
My child id so comfortable with Discovery Point and everyone there, she would rather be there than at home with me. Whenever I pick her up she gets upset.
Bells ferry learning have good Sumer camp my son hi like
We were with Discovery Point for several years and happy. Then the business was under new mgmt. or sold. It was all down hill from there. Many of the caregivers that we felt comfortable with were pushed away and the new owner/manager was one of the WORST people that I have ever met as to dealing with people. I do not recommend them at all.
My 4 year old attended Avery Montessori Academy since its opening day and was there for 4 months. The primary reason for finally withdrawing our son was due to the lack of professionalism and common sense judgment exhibited by the owner, Elaine. During the first month, our son’s teacher quit due to a disagreement in teaching methods with Elaine. The 2nd teacher is also now resigning at the end of the month. While we were there, Elaine violated an agreement regarding publishing photos of our child. She also shared with us info of other families’ situations such as kids whose parents were going through a divorce, kids whose parents were unable to make tuition payments, and an autistic child who did not thrive in the environment. She even commented to us regarding one of her employee’s “many health issues” and another's "weird religious beliefs". There were delayed communications such as days to respond to emails, and a morning voice mail I left due to no answer was not even retrieved in the same day. In addition, there are many simple inconveniences, such as no computerized entry or sign-in system. The door is locked when you arrive, and the doorbell consistently does not work, even causing the business to miss a payroll. Overall, just a sloppy, unprofessional operation.
