The Woodbury Jewish Center is a conservative synagogue affiliated with the United Synagogue of America. Established in 1989, the center offers welfare and developmental services to more than over 400 families in Woodbury, N.Y. It offers a school program, junior congregation, alternative High Holy Day services for families with young children. It also organizes holiday activities, social events and active youth group programs. The Woodbury Jewish Center offers a wide range of adult education opportunities to residents of Woodbury and surrounding areas. The center has a seniors group that provides services to senior citizens. The Woodbury Jewish Center provides religious studies to more than 300 children in subjects, such as Hebrew history, thought, values and languages. It has a Men's Club and Sisterhood that holds monthly meetings and sponsors a wide range of social gatherings and community services.
