Autumn Lake Healthcare at The Willows

I honestly wish I could rate it '0' stars. I was extremely dissapointed with the nursing home after my grandma started living there. The staff treated her terribly, often times they were very rude and would make her wait an unnecessary amount of time to use the bathroom. Some of the staff was also very rough leaving bruises on my poor grandmother's arms.



The woman who shared a room with her used to urinate on the floor in the bathroom and the staff would leave it without cleaning it for long periods of time. My grandmother was there a little under a year and developed multiple urinary tract infections from being left in wet diapers for long periods of time. My grandmother's last urinary tract infection that went un-diagnosed was the cause of her death.



My grandmother entered into the facility at 87 years old and healthy as an Ox and died at 88 years old due to the neglect of the nursing home staff and doctors. Her morale and overall life condition deteriorated while being in the home. She had clear signs of a urinary tract infection (cloudy urine) and was left untreated for a week after that where the infection got into her blood stream (sepsis) this caused her organs to shut down and congestive heart failure to take place. The nursing home staff said that they didn't treat her due to "protocol." Evidently their protocol is letting YOUR loved ones suffer, and ultimately die due to their negligence.



I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please take the time to read this review, and please don't let your loved ones suffer the same way.
