Quaint but elegant establishment that's been around for quite awhile. Although there are a number of menu choices, they are noted for their crepes. I usually order the crepes coq au vin. (chicken in a wine sauce with toasted almonds) You can get one or two with a salad and various breads. Outstanding desserts are also available. Try the chocolate cherry cordial pie. (chocolate mousse in a pecan crust.) You will be sharing this with the table because it's a generous portion. The Sunday brunch is one of the best around. Make reservations!
I had been looking for a soul food restaurant since I moved to Cincinnati. Heard a radio commercial about the Dukester and went right over to try it......I was not disappointed. I ordered the Catfish Dinner it was the bomb. So was the greens, candied yams and the peach cobbler was off the chain!!!! Think I found my soul food restaurant!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner said after the first of the year they'all be open 7 days a week!!! Thank you Dukster!!!!
Cincinnati chili is really a recipe from a Greek immigrant. It's an "acquired" taste according to newcomers, but if you were born here you love it. Multiple locations in the city. My favorite menu item is the three way which consists of a plate of spaghetti covered with the chili and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese and served with oyster crackers. Other combos including beans and/or onions are also popular.
This was one of the cheaper hotels I found in the area. It was close to so many things. We were about 5 minutes from splash cincinatti water park, chuck e cheese, target, and papa johns. Many other things were close by as well. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent including waffles and muffins. Room was clean. There was a nice pool but we had too many activities in our day to have time to visit it.
I Stayed in Quality inn and Suites with my family.I was here to visit the Aquarium and some other places .The best thing i like about this hotel is hotel is having a beautiful lobbyand not to forget a amazing Mexican restaurant with good food.Rooms were clean with comfortable bed with a decent breakfast.I will definitely recommend this hotel for stay to my friends and family.
This is a very historic hotel located in downtown Cincinnati. The art and architecture around the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful to out of town guests. They have an expensive 5 star dinning restaurant within the hotel. I ate brunch at their restaurant which was delicious both the prepared meals and the buffet.
Gourmet grilled cheese and tomato soup is a winning combination. Choose your bread and type of cheese. Tomato soup (classic or basil) is a daily offering with additional soups on the menu daily . Be adventurous and try some of the unique grilled cheese selections--grilled cheese on a glazed doughnut anyone? Not your mom's grilled cheese, that's for sure!
It was my second trip to this hotel and I enjoyed it the same as last year. The staff is very good and polite they are always ready to help you. They have a huge pool in the property and breakfast is pretty good too. At last I can say the best hotel in the town and I will definitely stay here again. Once again thanks for the great service.
I like the renovation here. More up to date light fixtures and color scheme. The yeast rolls are something I look forward to and the twisted chips are a good change of pace from fries. Check your receipt. They frequently have a survey phone number to call and critique your experience. If you do, you will get a free appetizer.
Very busy on a Sunday night. Staff is super nice and attentive. Food was average, IMO. Lump crab & lobster cake sandwich lacked seafood and flavor and tasted mostly of potatoes. Burgers are good. Sides are good but small portions. Our order of onion rings had four rings. Great dive ambience. We enjoyed the experience.
