Horrible place! I had to file my own nails to make them even, and the lady made fun of my hands the whole time. Very dirty place also , will never go back.
I've been going to Gypsy Nails since at least 2002, and they are better than any salon I went to before that. The salon is clean, hygienic, and comfortable. They have new massage pedicure chairs and they provide their customers with free Wi-Fi while they have TVs always set to channels that are enjoyable. But that's not why I keep going to Gypsy Nails; I go because all of their nail techs are so good at what they do. Jay does my nails, but when he's been away I've had several other techs do my nails. I'm always pleased with how good they look when I leave. Gypsy Nails offers so many options besides pink and white. They do regular acrylic, acrylic with the color pigment already in it (impossible for the color to wear off) gel, polish that changes color when the temperature changes, and more. A couple of years ago, Jay was doing ombré color on my nails. I wore the colored acrylic and would get fills in another color. What a fun look! I can't recommend Gypsy Nails highly enough. They've been in business so long because they've earned it. They don't know I'm writing this honest review, and I have no affiliation with them except that I'm a customer of at least 15 years.
I live in College park. This is the only slot and I will ever go to. I have came to the salon for 18 years. The technicians are all certified which is very important for your nails and skin I have. All the staff is very friendly they will accommodate your schedule as needed. How do you recommend. My name is Brenda Baum Black and I certify this place is great
I have been going to Winters nails for about six or seven years now. Of all the nail salons I've been to you will not get more for the price. Winters is very thorough, accommodating and affordable. A pedicure lasts for almost a month. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good nail or wax job on a budget. They're awesome.
I found this salon by the sign outside proclaiming $5 eyebrow waxing. Thier manicures are also inexpensive, $10. I found that there is no qualitative difference between this salon and others which charge more. I regularly have services, but be aware that they are closed on Tuesday's. It is not in the swankiest of shopping strips, but maybe that is why they can charge lower prices. The techs are very thorough, and do not rush the services at all. They are also sweet, and really seem to care to please their customers by showing appreciation and doing a great job. On Saturday's, you may want to call for an appointment if you want to be taken the minute you walk in.
Been going there for over 5 years and Judy is an exceptional hair stylist. At this point it feels I am good buddies with all of the stylists and we share life experiences, travel tips, etc. during each visit. Love this place!!
Christine's Nails was absolutely the worst salon I've ever had a mani/pedi in. From the moment the employees sat us they spoke over my friend and I in Vietnamese and were constantly pointing/yelling/laughing/goofing off throughout our entire visit, completely disrupting our experience. Not to mention I paid $40 for a pedicure and a manicure (without polish), VERY pricey. I would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS recommend this salon to anyone. It was a horrifying experience with an unprofessional, rude staff. They were rushing us out at 7:30 when their door clearly states they close at 8pm. After all was said and done, my friend and I were rushing to get out of the shop while one employee proceeded to take my friend's shoes, throw them in a plastic bag, and slam them on the ground... while another employee had relocated my shoes and lost them, pulled them out from underneath a rolling chair all smashed up, and through them in a bag as well. I can't stress how disgusting and terrible we felt after this experience, NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL.
