Overall

I would never do business with this company. Steer clear. Be ware.

Apex appliance was contacted based on referral from Old Republic home warranty to repair our washer dryer stacked unit. Steven indicates the technician will call upon travel to property. As you can imagine leaving work to go wait for technician is not the most effective use of your business day, but one hour late was the tip of the iceberg for the failed service of this company.

The technician walks in, requires payment up front and spends 3 minutes to explain that he feels the vent is clogged and his company does not handle this repair.

Takes our money, 3 minutes and then walks out.

You hire a service tech to repair a dryer and they tell you they don't do that work. Well why the hell are you in business to repair appliances.

Stacked unit is over 100 pounds. How is a elderly person, supposed to get the work done. Shame on you Apex. You don't deserve the dignity of the freedom this Army Veteran gave you. Bring back my Veterans Hat as well.

Apex is a horrible company that you should avoid.

Apex just know I will be sharing this review with all my Military family.

Is negative stars possible? A...

Is negative stars possible? Apex Appliance, sometimes known as Mike Rizzo, is a scam and a sham of a business. We were ensnared by them by our AHS home warranty, and they spent from February 7th until May 18th bleeding our contract, our patience and our time. They came out to repair a dishwasher after another company had pronounced it dead (not good enough for AHS). Each time the tech came out they had a new excuse why they couldn't fix it at that time - they ordered the wrong part, didn't have the right tool, didn't know how to address the problem... I wondered if they had actually seen a dishwasher before. After MONTHS of this run around, we finally got AHS to agree to pay for a new dishwasher. Of course, who's gonna install it? Apex! First time the tech couldn't figure out how to remove the old one, then claimed the new one purchased wouldn't fit. He left the hot wires in a puddle of water and the hot water disabled to the sink. Guess what, now we can't wash dishes or turn on the garbage disposal. The manager came out that night to cap the wires and the hot water feed - guess what, a part he needed was on the truck of the other guy. The manager measured the hole and confirmed that the new dishwasher wouldn't fit. Two days later another tech comes out, looks at the hole and new dishwasher and says it won't fit and he doesn't have the parts he needs, and starts packing up to leave. I open the new dishwasher - hey dude, look, parts are inside like every major new appliance. Get out your measuring tape and show me how it won't fit. Two hours later, after fumbling and farting around, another tech shows up and tries to help him get it installed. They say the wiring won't work because it isn't romex. I remove the conduit and show them, yes, indeed it is romex. They say the copper supply needs to be flexible steel - whoops, they bent and punctured it trying to get it in. They go out to the driveway, unbeknownst to me, pack up their gear and call their manager, quitting the job, and leave. Suffice to say their motivation is to bill AHS for as many trips as possible and not ever get anything done. They don't care about satisfied customers or actually accomplishing anything - it's how many service calls can you bill for in one day. Hitting a snag? Pack up and leave, it's time to get to the next job. Oh yeah, I got the flexible pipe from Lowes for $7, removed the one the broke, and had the dishwasher up and running in an hour. No thanks to them or AHS. AVOID APEX APPLIANCE at ALL COST! They are rude, immoral liars and will NOT provide acceptable service by any standards. If you have an ounce of brain matter you will be able to out think these shmucks. It's too bad businesses out there are able to operate by preying on the gullible and these home warranty jobs. I wish things had worked out better, I'm just amazed at the incompetence. I take pride in my work and if I'm over my head I admit it and get help. I apologize for my mistakes and work towards a solution. Not APEX. I hope you can avoid ever having to experience the hell that is this company.
