The customer service at the Auburndale Enterprise Location is world class. I never have to worry about my reservation details Mitch and Ryan call ahead and they pick me up when needed. These guys go the extra mile for all customers and they do whatever is needed to make the rental experience pleasant. The wait time is minimal and that's impressive because the Winter Haven Airport is small yet busy. The cars are always clean and ready to go they are never washing them at the last minute I appreciate that. Most of all everyone enjoys their job and it shows in their performance. Thank you Mitch and Ryan for taking good care of my rental needs by going above and beyond. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest I give you guys and Enterprise an 11. Exceptional!
**OVER PRICING AT THIS DEALERHIP - BEWARE**Our Dodge mini van needed a new key cylinder as the cylinder would lock and we could not get the key to turn and therefor the vehicle could not be started. We took it to the nearest dealership - Winter Haven Dodge to get it fixed as other neighborhood shops were sketchy as to what the problem was and we wanted it done right. Winter Haven Dodge charged us $560.00! We knew this was an outlandish price so we called the Lakeland Dodge dealership to compare. We gave our VIN number and all the info so we could be sure we were being quoted genuine factory parts and not used or refurbished parts. They quoted us $219.00!!! We called the Winter Haven dealer back and told the service manager that they were over charging us, he gave us a $135.00 discount because he said "oh the labor was too high" but would not match the Lakeland dealership price or even come close. We felt trapped. They did the work, so we had to pay them $425.00 for a $219.00 job. Needless to say, they will never see our wallets again!AND we will not remain silent about this. We will be filing claims with the Attorney General, consumer protection, BBB, Federal Trade Commission and the Senior Crime Project who monitors these things for people over 60 years old.What a shame it is that there are dealerships out there trying to get over on people and especially the elderly.
I have in all my years never had an experience like this one. I had brought my truck to this dealer for repairs, They have caused body damage to my vehicle that wasn't on the car before I brought it in. When I brought this issue to the owners attention (Mike Mahalak) He had told me that it wasn't a perfect car to begin with and why am I upset (this is a Navagator that the insurance company said was in mint condition prior to this dealer receiving it), the insurance company was paying for it anyway. I just wanted my truck fixed and was not expecting damage to be done to my truck while in the hands of the people that are going to fix it. I can not beleive the responce I had from the owner of the Dealership. While trying to fix the damage they did to my truck, they had done even more damage. I had spoke with Mike once again and he had suprised me for the second time with his responce, he said that the man working on my car is frustrated as well and that I should not be upset because I wasn't paying for the damages anyway. I explained that there was now overspray all over my Navagator, he had his staff try to sand it off and by doing so with an inexperienced person they left sanding marks on parts of my black truck that hadn't needed work. My Navagator went into the dealership with a couple of minor things to be fixed and 6 months later this is still unresolved and with more damage, it looks like heck! I am a local business owner that has contact with thousands of the locals of Winter Haven each year. I am a commissioner here locally as well. It doesn't matter who you are, this is the treatment a dealership of this calliber could hand you as well.
I bought a new Ford Expedition from Jarrett-Gordon Ford, Winter Haven, FL, that only had eight miles on it. The front end was so far out of alignment, that within a few months I noticed that the tires on the front of the truck were worn to the cords. Since the truck was still under warranty, I took the truck in to have the front end aligned and to get the worn out front tires replaced. Jarrett-Gordon Ford aligned the front end and replaced the front two tires with new tires. A month later, I bought a pontoon boat, and when the marina employee was hooking the pontoon trailer to my truck, he commented on how worn out my spare was. I checked, and my spare was actually one of the worn out tires from the front end of my truck. My warranty was good for two new tires, but Jarrett-Gordon Ford had only replaced one tire and had stolen my spare to replace the new tire that should have been installed. I went to Jarrett-Gordon Ford and confronted the garage manager, and he actually admitted that they had taken my new spare tire off to replace the worn out tire. I said that they owed me a new tire, but the best that I got was that they would give me a good deal on my next set of four tires. That theft cost them a new car sale in 2014 when I bought a Toyota Tundra. The next sale that Jarrett-Gordon Ford lost was when my wife decided that she wanted a 2016 Ford Explorer that we bought in Brandon. Therefore, for the theft of one spare tire, which they could have gotten at a wholesale price, Jarrett-Gordon Ford lost two new car purchases. I contacted the Ford Corporation and FL State Attorney, but no one was interested in correcting the matter. Of course, since Jarrett-Gordon Ford lost two new car purchases over the theft of one tire, that makes me feel better. Before you buy at Jarrett-Gordon Ford, you should think twice because the same criminals could be working there. I gave Jarrett-Gordon Ford a one star rating because the website required a star from one to five, and one was the lowest rating available!
I can't believe a Honda dealership ripped me off this badly. I was promised a "Q-Certified" car with a warranty that would "cover any problems." The car turned out to have a bad transmission and the paint is now falling off. Also, the brakes had to be replaced, the rear control arms had to be replaced, the front control arm bushings had to be replaced, the battery cable had to be replaced, the driver's door is a different shade than the rest of the car, a hidden burn hole in the driver's seat was discovered, the car pulls to one side and the dealer refused to fix all of it except the battery cable and control arm bushings and both of those took an argument to achieve. I have also witnessed them doing bait and switch on a Honda fit. One salesman told me the best way to buy a Civic from them is to lease it because they "jack the price up on the used Civics to make a huge profit." Not to mention they add an average of $1,500 market price adjustment to almost every MSRP on the lot. This is the worst experience we have ever encountered with any car dealership. I would just say stay away. They sometimes seem friendly until they make the sale and then it is a complete 180 becoming rude, disagreeable and refusing to fix problems even under warranty.
I want to let everyone know that Jarrett Gordon Ford went out of their way to make trading vehicles as easy as can be. Their communication about what was going on kept everything up to date without delays. They were very straight forward with all the double talk and fast talking tactics that is all too common today. We got a good trade in value and good price on the truck we bought. We would recommend Jarrett Gordon Ford and Michelle Green to anyone looking for a vehicle. We were even lucky enough to meet the owners of the dealership and was impressed with them also. GREAT PLACE.
My Daughter and Son-In-Law just purchased a car from Hill Nissan and something kind of unusual happened but the same thing has happened to me at different locations and I think it is borderline theft by fraud or deception and I need your input based on that. Here's the deal. You purchase a vehicle that you finance, you sign a contract with everything completed and you leave with your vehicle, a few days later you get a phone call from the car dealership and they tell you that they have made a mistake and you must come up with cash, on this occasion, $1000.00 or bring back the vehicle. You tell them you don't have any cash and they tell you that you will have to bring in something, again in this case my Daughter had originally brought in a vehicle to trade but had been told that they could keep it, it would not be needed, only to tell them later to bring it back, they needed it. My question is how can you sign a contract, have a done deal with on the facts, payments, interest etc. in black and white and then the car dealership try and make you believe you done something wrong and more or less threaten to take back the vehicle if you don't come up with something for them, something not even mentioned on the contract at all. Also to add some credence to this, my Daughter had her Grand-Father-In Law co-sign, so he was there during the entire deal to bear witness to it. I think they should contact an attorney but they don't have money for that, they are a young couple with two young kids, struggling to get by. If you can please at least tell me if this is criminal or civil. I know there are things you can't get involved in and this might be one of them but again, I felt it was borderline and I can tell you from this happening to me twice in the past that it is a growing thing amongst dealerships. When it happened to me I contacted a lawyer friend who told me to politely tell the dealership to go pound sand and to tell them to quit bothering me or I would pursue it with an attorney and that is exactly what I did. To make a long story short, it worked for me, even though the dealership played it right up till the point of me sending them a registered letter.
I wouldn't tell just my best friend (although I already have) I would tell anyone looking for a new Honda or even a used car to see these folks.I will tell you I bought a used car from them and they treated me as tho I bought the most expensive car on the lot.It's what else they did that went far beyond what was expected and more than their obligation that has made me a spokesman for them.I can't let you know what they did or there would be a line all the way to Legoland and I am not sure if they have enough staff to handle it.Thank you Winter Haven Honda!!
