Love this place. My son went here for about three years and my daughter has been attending for a year. I have never had any problems with this school. They are trustworthy, professional, and genuinely care about the kids. The school is well organized and super clean. My son was well prepared for elementary school and continues to excel in his education (he just finished 2nd grade). My daughter's vocabulary has grown tremendously. I just wanted to offer my positive experience with Building Blocks Academy. People are more likely to leave poor reviews than positive ones, as I've witnessed on this site. This school deserves props.
Heard this place recently closed. I hope it did. Good reddens! This was my first job worse experience of my life. Above comment about abuse is correct. It was reported and DCF handed all testimonies to director, confidential my ass.
My son absolutely loves going to school and he is only 16 months old. He has never not wanted to be there. The staff is wonderful.
THE BEST, AND I MEAN BEST, DAY CARE YOU CAN PLACE YOUR CHILD IN. I AM TRUELY SAD WHEN I MOVED TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER OUT. SHE WAS IN INFANT CARE, AND MY CHILD DOESNT LIKE TO MANY PEOPLE, BUT SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED HER TEACHERS. I HAD NO WORRIES TAKING HER THERE. AMAZING PLACE AND WELL WORTH THE WAIT LIST FEE AND TIME. THE SECOND YOU CAN GET YOUR CHILD IN, DO IT. NO REGRETS OTHER THAN TAKING HER OUT. 100% SATISFACTION.
High expectations that fell short......Facility nice but staff are questionable especially if have a child with extra needs. Your child mysteriously has constant sickness to be out of school always on Thursday and have to out (24 hrs) 3 out of 4 weeks. Some teachers are awesome others need to be let go. Started out well ended with keeping teacher and losing business . Hope for success for BBA but parents beware of sickness patterns!!!!!!!!
This place is a joke. My child went there for 3 years with no problems. But as of July 2015 no longer, one of the new teacher decided grab my son and force him in a chair then yell at him (I'm going to whoop you) long story short Don't use this place because the teacher was not fired and still works there.......
Very unprofessional do not trust this facility with your children. The first review is a teacher and the directors sister
I cannot say enough about how amazing building blocks academy has been for our family. I will most certainly be keeping my daughter there for several years the staff and director are amazing. I have a 4-month-old baby girl that is currently in their infant room while my husband and I work full time. The hours 7:00am- 5:30pm are perfect for most individual working full time jobs. The staffs are very involved with my daughter each day I get a daily sheet letting me know what and how much she ate, the times her diapers where changed, and if she is needing any necessary items. Although my daughter is still very young they make sure she plays in each center (music, reading, housekeeping, and sensory) daily. I have found that she is able to sit up in a baby chair and eat her baby food due to the amount of time and effort the staffs have put in. Each day she does tummy time, works on her fine and gross motors skills, while playing developmentally appropriate games. I am truly blessed to have found an amazing daycare that treats my daughter like she is family.
The two stars are only because the teacher of the infant room has nothing to do with my experience and why I pulled my child out of the facility after 3 days. I had very high expectations for this center. It was clean and the Director seemed nice. I must have caught her on a bad day. She quickly turned unprofessional and was convinced that she told me something that she did not. After dropping my child off the second day, I was told the infant room hours are 7:30 to 4:30...not sure about everyone else but most jobs I know about let out 5 or later...not to mention the commute it takes to get your child. Although the school hours are 6:30am to 6pm, the infant room is restricted to 7:30-4:40. This sudden change was unacceptable for me and the director had the nerve to say if I did not like it, I can remove my child from the facility. I promptly did so and the same day registered in another school. They are new to providing services for infants so maybe they need more time to get it together. Stay away unless you like being talked to like you are a child attending the school.
