I first went into Tim's guns and honestly felt out of place. That being said I wasn't much of a people person at the time. Since I first walked in to that store I've made 4 firearm purchases. The staff has repeatedly been helpful (given that they're not busy with another customer). Every time I walk in it's a first name basis "hey john hows it going?". Have actually become very fond of the staff there. That being said, there range for the most part isn't the biggest out there and although it's a pistols only I don't mind as I don't shoot anything else. It could be a little better ventilated but overall it's quiet and peaceful. They do monitor the range from the showroom to uphold safeties which is nice. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because honestly their prices are a bit on the high side. That being said though, I choose to support the local store. I have yet to have any need for a warranty of sorts but their customer service is well enough that no matter what any problem is they will take care of it. Ultimately, yes they are more expensive than some places, and less expensive than others. Derringers in Lakeland is cheapest but also not the friendliest or most knowledgeable. Lead feather in winter haven is by far the most expensive. All in all Tim's is very good medium on prices; everything else couldn't be better in my opinion.
Well to be honest I looked on the website for range opening times, read all the reviews and decided as a former fullborepistol owner in the UK I'd like to try the sport again, it would probably be my last chance as I'm getting on now and this would be my last visit to the USA. So I drive for an hour and arrive within the opening times only to be told by Tim, who seemed really unenthusiastic and basically could not have given a s**t, that I could not shoot because a member of staff was out and that I should have called first, this is not stated on the web page and no other reviewers mentioned calling first. The young guy in there was friendly but I wasted 2 hours travelling and two gallons of fuel for nothing, not impressed.
