I just realized that this is the home office for spotless cleaners in Lakeland. These people ruined two military shirts and and a dress and would not take responsibility for the mess up. When trying to retrieve the home office phone number and address, the clerk refused and said that the last 2 times I visited I was belligerent. Never mind this clerk was not there the last 2 times I was there. She was rude and judgmental, threatening to call the cops if I did not leave the premises if I was unwilling to pay for my garments. I had them call the cops, explained that I just wanted the home office number and the clerk refused to do so. The police unequivocally told that m that their services to their customers were questionable. After some research I found out that their headquarters is Same Day Cleaners. They provided me shoddy services and required me to pay for the clothes if I wanted them, even when they ruined all my items, dress and shirts. I say to anyone using this cleaners they are expensive and unrelenting when they are wrong. They are rude, and not transparent, (which the officer relayed as she was trying to get the home office number). I would have at least offered the free service if I ruined someone's clothing. I am of course not done with this business yet. I have served this country for over 25 years in the U.S. Army and have never been treated as rude and cold as I have with these people. The person I spoke with lied and said I was belligerent when I came to their place of business. But when you have the clerk or manager rudely tell me that they won't pay for anything they ruined in a tone that was totally out of line, there is a possibility one would receive rude comments back. However, I told her firmly and without hesitation that first of all I did not like her tone and that she would not speak to me the way she was at that point and I made it a point to let her know that I was not angry with her.
I went to this place twice while waiting for my washer to be repaired. The washers do a good job--I didn't use the dryers. Who owns this place? It's in need of a MAJOR cleaning. The floors need to be swept and mopped, the rugs need to be vacuumed, the counters need to be cleaned off, and the machines need to be cleaned off from top to bottom. You get the feeling that no one cares about the place aside from how much money it makes. Winter Haven is a nice area, and this laundromat makes me feel like I'm in a low rent area. Maybe they need more help--I don't know. But whoever owns the place or works there is responsible for the conditions that customers find the place in. Somebody isn't doing their job it seems.
Wouldn't recommend this place. Took in my infant son's lamb skin to get cleaned. They never called to say it was ready. When I finally called 1 1/2wks later and found out it was ready, they said they couldn't call because...never got a clear answer. Went to pick it up, paid and thought to check it because I could see through the bag it looked dirty. Opened the bag and sure enough, it was still dirty. It also smelled horribly of chemicals. Asked for a refund. Was refused. Was told they could clean it again but no refunds without the owners approval. So I asked to speak to the owner. The clerk called the owner told them I was unhappy and the owner said she knew she couldn't clean it properly, so oh well. No refund from them. No apologies. Just a ruined lamb skin.
I went to this laundromat for about two years. The service was generally good and the staff were helpful. A few months ago I had given clothes for the wash-n-fold service. For whatever reason, all my dress shirts came back stained. They attempted to wash the stains out but after I got them back I realized more than a few were still stained. If that was it, I would still not be rating them so low. Unfortunately, without asking me, they dry-cleaned all my dress shirts. My dress shirts had never been dry-cleaned before and they all shrunk significantly. The severe shrinking was actually worse than the stains because suddenly it looked like none of my shirts fit me. I realize they were trying to be helpful but the cost of their wash-n-fold turned out to be very expensive. I would also add they had no clue why my shirts came back stained, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in using them again.Nowadays, I just wash my own clothes. Cheaper and less risky.
Have been taking my laundry here for years, Now under New owners, Its still great! Would be nice if staff was there all the time. Once in a while I see a sign that reads went to store back in a few. Other then that Great staff.
I JUST LOVE THIS PLACE. THE STAFF ARE SO VERY HELPFUL AND NICE,
This is the second time I picked my clothes up at the WH location they reeked of cigarette smell. I even noticed the girl who waited on me smelled of cigarettes. I'm sure the girl at that location is smoking around the clothes. Also they do a horrible job tailoring clothes. I'm done with them.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I USED THEIR BRANCH IN LAKELAND. HALF THE TIME, THE CLOTHES DID NOT SEEM TO BE WASHED. NOW THEY HAVE SUDDENLY CLOSED SHOP WITHOUT WARNING AND WANT FOLKS TO DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO WINTER HAVEN TO PICK UP
When the usual little spanish girl is there it is a pleasure to do business there, and the work is excellent, but when any of the chinese people are there I just leave, they are impossible to deal with, rude and just plain unpleasant!
Koin Klean has certainly "Kleaned" up it's act! Went in for the first time in years and MY how the place had changed! New owners, clean equipment and a very friendly staff! It felt good to be back to the first place I ever did my laundry in Winter Haven and I will be using Koin Klean on a regular basis from now on! Glad my old laundromat is back!!!
