Holiday Pools helped us in a pinch, we had a pump go out two days before a party. They got us going, cleaned the pool and added the chemicals we needed all in time for the birthday party to happen on time. Thank You to everyone there, you made it easy.......

Holiday Pools has helped us with our pool since the 1987, 30 years. I would totally recommend them to anyone in the Winston-Salem area. I know they do both pools and hot tubs, and chemicals and cleaning.

I and my wife decided to purchase a pool with installation in July of 2012. David, at Caryl Pools ensured us that he was the right person to do the job. On the day of installation, a subcontracted pool digging company showed up called, “Leisure Time Pool” and commenced the digging. The operator informed me that we would be responsible for all of the backfill (and there was a bunch of it, hooray!). Once they tossed the pool form together in a few hours they, of course left all of the boxes in the yard for me to dispose of and left out some of the concrete pool support pieces. A day later David sent the most vulgar young man out to add the chemicals. I never heard such a fowl mouth on a person. Every other word was a curse. At that point, we were just happy to be rid of them. After being able to get into the pool, we found the surface to be as lumpy as the surface of the moon and very difficult to vacuum. I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of a sandy substance on the bottom of the pool. When questioning David he said, “That’s just the conditioner we put in- if it bothers you, just scoop it out”, which we did. October came and we winterized it and covered the pump/filter system with a tarp. This spring I could not get the water to clear up. After calling a local pool specialist, as Caryl Pools had already “hit the road” for Greensboro, we were informed that: “The standpipe was jammed into the multiport valve, there was a hole in one lateral (of the filter mechanism), not enough sand in the filter, the pump was connected to the return outlet and the return connected to the pump outlet.” Basically, 100% backwards of what it should have been! I happily paid a knowledgeable technician to fix it then inquired Caryl Pools about reimbursing me for the repair of the damage they caused. The namesake of the business, Caryl, assured me that she would take care of it and said her husband David would call me. That, of course, never happened. After faxing the bill I had paid for the repair to Caryl Pools, making 3 phone calls and speaking with David personally, he assured me, all 3 times, he would be sending the check out right away and then abruptly hanging up on me. Under NO circumstances would I recommend doing business with this company unless you really want some back work done, by some foul mouthed people that don’t stand behind their work nor care if their word is good.
Beware. Went in with algae problem with pool. Was told I needed $150 worth of products and 2 days of "steps" to solve. Instead I bought a five dollar bag of shock and the next morning the pool was clear as a bell. I would not trust what these people tell you.
Bought a liner, it was cut wrong around faceplate. thought I could live with it as it was done with an exacto and wasn't noticeable until two years of hot summers and bitter cold winters. The cut expanded. Asked them to come look as they could clearly see this was done on installation. They refused. Even got loud with me, almost if not yelling telling me for all they knew it could be vandalism. I said just come look and you can tell it was done at installation. They still refused. I do realize it's my fault for trying to live with it, but clearly if they came to look they would see it was in fact their fault.
