I called because my husband was having kidney stones. He had been to the ER, but they took a wait and see approach (without running any imaging). When I called they were friendly and got him an appointment in a day. The Dr was prompt, knowledge, and kind. They ran the test needed to see where his stone was and that it was too large to pass. They scheduled a procedure to break it up. We definitely highly recommend this practice.

When our son was a toddler he had a procedure handled by Carolina Urological. After TWO failed surgeries he still has the same issue and we are afraid to proceed with any more due to long term harm. My husband recently had a vasectomy done at their offices and although things went smoothly I'm very annoyed with their communication (or lack thereof). He has repeatedly called to ask about the status of a test (supposedly results would be 24 hours). Now, 72 hours later we have yet to hear from the nurse even though we were told she would "Call back immediately". Their manners are lacking as well as their skill apparently.

After being told the Doctor was running a little late. After one hour I called from my room to see just what a little late was and said I was going ask for a refund and leave. I was told someone would be with me in a few. Some grouchy nurse came in and said I told you he was a little behind. A little behind I ask , " what is normal? " I ask Dr Cook if I was over an hour late would I still be seen? I don't think I will return for my follow-up visit there.




After years of struggling with a female-specific urological issue, I was elated to have finally located a specialist for female urology. Though the appointment was an hour away, I was eager to visit with Dr. Liz Albertson. Upon arriving at CUA, PS, I received quick and polite service from the front desk. I was ushered to the back where nurses assisted me with general medical intake tasks. I was so pleased with the speed in which they had gotten me into a private room. I awaited Dr. Albertson's arrival, hoping she would diagnose my issues. For days I had run through answers to all the questions she might ask in relation to my history and the status of my problem. Unfortunately, I never got to ask or answer many questions. Dr. A was especially brisk and chilly. The urgency of my issue did not seem to affect her. My time with her was shorter than the time it took to get the room - about ten minutes. Though I asked if a physical exam was necessary, she insisted it was not and ended our discussion. More or less, she told me to return to my gynecologist and change my birth control – an idea that I had actually suggested (as a question). I have never been so disappointed by a professional of any sort in my life. One hundred dollars and three-and-a-half hours later, I was in a very disheartened mood and felt taken advantage of. In hindsight I wish I would have demanded she pay more attention to our appointment and asked her to slow down and answer my questions. Please do /not/ see Dr. Albertson if you want a personalized appointment with results.

Unethical Employment Experience

How would any of you feel if you waited five years on a waiting list to enter a program in college? Wait, there""s more. I spent two years in the Diagnostic Sonography Program at a local community college. I graduated on a Friday and started a job at Ultrasound Associates on a Monday. I oversaw the entire Ultrasound Department from 1997 until 2005. During these years, I had to cover myself if sick or wanted a vacation. Obviously, neither occured much. I had many job opportunities and declined them due to a deep lack of knowledge of where these ""Doctors"" morals were located. Not in the right places from what I saw and experinced. Once the local Urological Practices merged, we all propagated to Carolina Urological in Kimel Park. I moved to some apartments located just behind them and in addition to working long hours, including no lunch most of the time, I was close for any of these practicing physicians to call me up after hours for any emergency ultrasounds or guided ultrasonic proceedures. Given just a taste of this knowledge, how would you feel if you were fired due to a complete lie? Missing one day with a doctors note due to a car accident on my way to work. The company office managers had the audacity to inform me ""...the company will never be the same."" They had to reschedule a prostate biopsy that a doctor ""C"" missed the first time. Keep in mind, two weeks prior, a ""Doctor N"" gave me a ride to my car which was broken down at my fiance""s apartment and asked me to perform sexual acts with him. I declined. I learned a lesson that day, unfortunately. Is this about people's confort? If you can""t treat your own employees well? Dr. Davis, from my understanding has relocated to Yadkinville, and yes, he is an amazing, ethical Medical Doctor.



Dr. Davis is great!!

I had kidney stones in 9/09 and went to the ER. Dr. Davis was the doctor assigned to me and he was very considerate and helpful.

One of the worst experiences yet with a physician

I've been to numerous physician's and NEVER have I been treated this way - I was super sick and I got no compassion or help from the rude office staff, nurses or Dr. Howell, who was whom I was sent to because Dr. Albertson wasn't available. I was told to come back if my fever got worse. The next day, when I did so I waited for almost 3 hours - was once again kicked out of the patient room I was in for another patient (that happened two days in a row) and throw out in the cold hallway or an old dingy room that no one use, and told to go home with the same meds I was given the day before and that I would get a call from my culture results the next day. I waited around and called after lunch because I got no such call, and I given the voicemail of someone who was out of the office (mind you, I told the lady who answered the phone, Wanda why I was calling) so once again I had to call back and wait forever to pick up the phone and I was told someone would pass along my message. An hour later someone from Dr. Albertson's office called and left a voicemail for me to call back (never mind that I signed a piece of paper three days ago stating it was okay to leave information on my voicemail), so once again here I go, back in line on the phone. I asked for Amber and got transferred after 20 mins, to Amanda. I go again (again keep in mine I'm SUPER sick and this is taking all energy I have an no one seems to care) and I re-request Amber and I get her on the phone and she's got such an attitude and tells me my culture isn't back but that she will look over my chart and discuss it with Dr. Albertson's nurse and Dr. Albertson and get back to me (Its Friday, by the way, at 2pm). I think...GREAT someone cares and relief is on the way!! Guess what I get a phone call at 5:03pm and no voicemail---HELLO WHY DID I SIGN THAT STUPID FORM??? Ugh, here it is Monday and no one's called to check on me or give me my results! What a crappy place!

Dr Hart III Excellent- Back Office Very Very Poor and unacceptable

Dr Hart III and his staff are excellent.

However, The Office is rude, makes you wait on the telephone over 15 minutes- makes errors doesn't follow up.

Great Doc

Dr Davis is a great Doctor, I have been seeing him for years and he onlyy gets better, no mater how busy he is he always has time to talk with me, thank God we still have Doctors like him, He really is great

BEWARE-Reviews made by Doctor's wife

The reviews that have been posted have actually come from Dr. John Davis' wife and I do not believe either of them to be non-biased reviews. I believe Dr. Davis to be an average doctor and other than a few minor billing issues, I have not encountered any problems with him. However, I do not believe he and his staff go above and beyond. I want a doctor that actually cares about his patients. I just think it would be more fair for the people to see reviews that were not posted by Dr. Davis' wife.

Excellent Doctor

Dr. Davis is the best urologist I have ever met. His is caring, kind and very intelligent. I would recommend him to anyone who is in search of a urologist.
