Americas Best Value Inn

We were there for a funeral. We were given room 131 and it was not good at all. We spent almost an hour trying to clean the room. I had access to a vacuum and cleaning supplies as I own a janitorial company and did not have time to unload before I left to go to Winnsboro. There was toothpaste all over the sink and counter tops, hair and bugs in sink and tub, I do not know when the last time the toilet had been cleaned. Still had plastic cups with drinks and AC wasnt cooling room on 65. There were bugs everywhere jumping on us and after itching we had enough. My neice wanted to sleep in my car. So we decided to ask for another room after spending all that time trying to clean it. Management and owners daughter didnt wanna see the pics they just gave us another room key. We were then given room number 115. When we decided to take room key and after owners daughter gave us the ok she said wait let me make sure no one else is staying in it. Ummmmmm......It was better but the toilet was still filthy and the seat was smudged with nasty stuff like they wiped the pee off seat with toilet paper. When we were leaving the next morning we saw the housekeeper. Older man in flip flops. No cleaning supplies on the cart and no vacuum. Had sheets, towels and a bottle of something unlabeled. We did feel safe on the grounds and it was a quiet place. Please book another room in another town. It is not sanitary and if looks kind of clean its not. Just using a paper towel to remove pee and poop without chemicals where others bottoms sit spreads diseases. Not vacuuming and sanitizing spreads lice, flees to other guest and their luggage and eventually bed bugs will nest and this is not healthy.

I enjoyed my stay there, no one bothered me, I did not know about the swimming pool or breakfast. I had good Internet service. Clean, nice rooms.
