These type places are not the solution. My baby died here from an overdose in her room. They have more of a soroity atmosphere. When we were visiting her, other people that didn't live there where always there. I'm talking about other addicts, alcoholics etc. there was always a gathering of people. This is not what a recovering addict needs. Then there is the other issue. You have people with different addictions in the same house. It's a hodgepodge of addicts. One may be a drunk or a heroine addict or a pill popper ,meth head. So on and so on. They should have the same issue not different ones. This way they can see what each are doing and acting like. An addict knows when someone's is on drugs. They can't support each other if everyone is there for a different issue. They cant relate to one another. This is a bad idea for a drug addict. Please if you want your child or loved one to survive don't let them go to an oxford house. Signed a broken father of a 25yr old mother who died in an oxford house.
