phone conversation with Mark, told him I had 8 cast iron radiators in an old home in Middleburg that needed to be removed... 3 small and 5 large...said he'd be by to pick up over the weekend...no show. Called the following week, said he forgot, would come by and pick up, asked me to send pictures , sent a couple, again told him 8, 3 small, 5 large. One of his guys came by , looked at them, the painter said he overheard them say "too damn heavy for me". Now my husband by himself, cut the radiators from the floor, moved them all to one room with a dolly...by himself. All I needed and very willing to pay for, is to move them out of the house and away. Mark said he had no idea they would weight that much....anyone knows cast iron radiators are a beast! Found out later that evening the radiators were not picked up, called Mark at 6.45PM and he said oh sorry, didn't know they would be so heavy. I will make the call to Steve at Williams Recycling, everyone says he is a man to stand behind his word. Don't deal with this guy!
Shannon at the scales is very helpful and nice. She helped me a lot and I have never expierenced a scrap yard before. The non ferrous guy was nice and quick. The prices seemed fair I guess...for 100 lbs of steel I only got 2 bucks but the brass prices were good
