Overall

If I could give 0 stars I would! Dr Mikus well what a waste of an appointment and money! Basically told me I had nothing wrong with my thyroid and that it was all in my head. While having terrible overactive symptoms and trouble swallowing and a cough for

Months. Also too many symptoms to list but he said nothing was wrong and I broke down into tears.

I was referred to him by a friend and she was stunned at the way I was treated especially since she was told to watch out for the exact symptoms I was suffering with.

I ended up sick in hospital and the Dr couldn't believe I was dismissed in the way I was. I am scheduled to have my thyroid removed soon. The office never even phoned me with results from tests. Terrible staff and a horrible experience

Overall

My son had a tonsillectomy on 2 June 2014 at Winchester Surgi Center(Dr. Catherine Smith). He had his first arterial hemorrhage from the operation site on the 9th. He lost enough blood to only respond to painful stimuli and lost vision temporarily. Was given only one night observation under the acknowledgement of Dr. Mikus. Released on the 10th of June. Had second arterial hemorrhage on the 13th. Completely bled out and was transported via Air Care to Fairfax Trauma Center and they did what should have been done on the 10th. It should not have required a second hemorrhage, a helicopter flight, nor a trauma room visit to rectify the problem.
