Your customer service sucks! I had to wait a month before anyone would come to work on my new HVAC system, which was leaking down through my kitchen ceiling. I finally got tired of waiting and had someone else fix it. I called your tech and told him not to come, that I didn't need him. It was the technician that was here for the yearly service checkup that tripped over the drain pipe and cause the leak to start with! I should send you a bill for getting it fixed myself. I will never buy anything from Sears again. Very bad customer service!
I can usually repair my six-year old riding lawnmower's belts and cutting blades myself, but when it developed a problem in the deck lift mechanism, that was too complicated. Sears (A&E) sent a repairman out to check out the problem, made a temporary fix, ordered the necessary parts, and installed them in the course of about two weeks for a price of around $300. Since I was afraid I might need a new mower at a cost of about $5,500, I thought this was a real bargain. The hardest part was navigating the auto-response features of the repair call. Every time I said I was out of the warranty the call was cut off, so I tried it saying I had a warranty. That worked, and the responder checked and told me I didn't, but then processed the request.
