I was gonna just walk home from work today but 5 minutes into my lovely 9:30 pm walk it began raining, unaware it wouldn't last long I just continued on to a friends over on jolly lane (an ally that let's you out literally right across the street from Polly's) and decided to call a cab, I wasn't given a time when he would arrive to me but it didn't matter I was a minute up the road, almost 45 minutes went by and nothing so I called again and was told he would be there in 15-20 mins, a half hour went by still nothing called again he said he would be there in 5 mins, still nothing. Called again and was told "your cab was there and left because no one was outside he will be there in 2 minutes" I'm sorry that I wasn't standing outside in a dark ally at 11:30 at night waiting on my cab. Why didn't he blow the horn? When he did finally arrive he was at the wrong house. The address is on the fence and the numbers are at least 6in in length then the driver tried to stop at the wrong house to let me out. Completely dissatisfied with the service.

I love sam and kevin but whoever worked toda y including the person who picked me up sucks. The guys are rude. They are mad because i called at 1:30 to confirm ny cab for 3:30 because i had to be to work by 4pm. Well i got a text saying your cabs delayed around 3:21. I know things come up but i dont play about my job. Get it together the wait is forever and their rude. Pollys your service isnt that good to treat ppl any type of way. Yall need a new staff! ASAP.

My husband waited over an hour for a cab and when he tried to call and check on the status of the cab, they ignored his calls and even hung up on him. When I called, they promptly answered. I told them how long he had been waiting and it wasn't until then that they actually sent someone. Did I mention that the cab location was only .9 miles from the pickup? This is ridiculous. My husband was sick and had just worked an 11 hour shift and was trying to get home. Don't use this service!!! They are NOT reliable!

They are listed under Inwood but want 45$ just to get there and then charge a fare ontop of that. Use a different Cab service, what a ripoff...



I had heard many great things ...

I had heard many great things about Polly's Cab. I decided to give them a call and over the past 2 months that I've used the service, I have had quite some trouble. For one thing, the fare is NEVER the same price. I've taken the same route every single time and it's either a dollar more or dollar less. I never understood why on the way to my destination it was 6.50, but coming back they same exact way was 5.50. There seems to be some kind of lack of communication among drivers and management. Also, the woman that answers the phone has a bad attitude. She seems so annoyed with having to take phone calls. Some time ago I had called for a cab. I was told it would be a 25 min wait, 50 mins later I decided to call back to check on the status of my cab. The woman got snappy and questioned whether I had even called Polly's. Then she claims that they had sent a cab out, but the driver claimed that no one was there and left. So, either the driver went to the wrong location or a cab was never sent out. I tried to explain to her that I had been waiting outside for an hour and no cab ever showed up. Before I could even get out what I had to say, she cut me off and told me it would be another 20 min wait. I had high hopes for this place because of this positive reviews I have seen. However, I will not be dealing with Polly's anymore.



big upgrades - nice work!

I've been a Polly's Cab rider for over 20 years. Other companies are totally inconsistant and half the time don't answer their phones. Polly's ALWAYS shows up quick, the rates are rock bottom (I don't know how they do it...), and the people are very-VERY cool. The cars are MUCH nicer now, and the company is doing good things in the community.

Winchester's Taxi - Polly Cab Inc.

I have lived in Winchester my entire life and use cabs a LOT. I've used most of the cab companies in Winchester over the past 30 years, and find myself back using Polly's over and over again. I've seen so many other companies come and go, and while they are here the only thing they do is increase what people have to pay. Polly's has been around since before I was born (my parents talk about them as being the quintessential small business in Winchester since when they were both kids), and they are the only taxi company to stick around all these years.

Last week Polly's cab drive me from home to a restaurant downtown and stupid lost my cell phone. When I came home, there was a note on my front door from the driver telling me he had my phone and to call him so he could bring it back to me - FOR FREE. I couldn't believe it and he told me that kind of thing happens all the time. I was so impressed it brought me here to write this review. Anyway, I hope you don't loose your phone, but if you leave it in a Polly's Cab, I bet you'll get it back.
