Merchant's Tire and Auto Service Center

Hi my experience was great this place really explains things and helps you to understand what’s going on with your vehicle the service was beyond what I thought and work was done correctly no problems i will be giving this place good recommendations for my family and friends

Beware of Merchants Tire in Winchester, and especially Paul Hysell the Service Manager! And MOST importantly, if you need a VA state safety inspection, stay away!!!. They might be honest enough to put tires on your vehicle, but they will run you through the ringer on an inspection. My FAVORITE example, I had a turn signal bulb fail for a pea sized smudge of dust that it more than likely collected while being installed. No, the amber coating wasn’t peeling as they said. I went home, removed the light, wiped the dust away with my thumb, and the same guy passed the same bulb the next day. $32 saved!!! That's not to mention the headlights the wanted $115 to buff out, a job I had done another vehicle LAST year for $35. What a joke. Terrible attitude. No concept of customer service. Worst experience at a garage in over 25 years on the road. PERIOD!!!

I found this place to be very good when my boyfriend and i would go and get oil changes and tires. I took my car one day without my boyfriend and they took COMPLETE advantage of me.. i paid to get an oil change and of course it comes with tire rotation and such.. Well to begin with they tried to tell me i needed to pay an extra $50 to figure out why my check engine light was on before they could do the oil change... i told them they had done one or two oil changes before and never mentioned the check engine light so they "let it slide this time" well they supposedly did the oil change but told me that my tires didn't need rotated so they didn't do it. My boyfriend got home and checked the tires and they were wearing down on one side because OBVIOUSLY they needed rotated and he had someone else check the oil because we smelled oil burning and come to fine out they didnt even change the oil. So guess what guys i paid them to do nothing! Don't go to this place they are ridiculous.
