I made an appointment for my foot, over the phone we gave our insurance information and everything they needed. The day of his appointment, my husband took time off of work to attend it. When he arrived he was told he had to pay in full for the appointment before being seen. *with our insurance, we have a high deductible therefore we have a zero balance due co-pay and get billed for the doctors visits by our insurance company* they stated that he had an outstanding balance from being a previous patient. (Not sure why we wouldn't be told that over the phone?) Again, I would understand - however the last time my husband attended this doctor was when he was under the age of 17 and on his parents insurance. He is now 29 years old, not sure how he would be held liable BUT I told them that was fine, we will reschedule our appointment when we had the money to pay his 12 year old doctor bill and the one upfront now. They said that was perfectly fine and we left. A month later we received a bill for MISSED APPOINTMENT that he took off work to be at, that they refused to see him for and that they did not tell us they would be billing us for. My husband and I have called the office multiple times and they will not answer or state they cannot help us. To top it off, who ever does their billing is a *joke* the bill always says "will go to collections on (ex) February 24, 2017" BUT I didn't even receive the bill until today the 27th, why you ask? Because it didn't get sent out until February 25th! Today, the 28th, I called again and asked to speak to a manager. The front desk woman refused and said there is nothing they will do to help us, that I should have been more prepared for my appointment. How could I have been more prepared? I was early, had my insurance card etc. I stated that I will get a lawyer and she said "fine". I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, so did the rest of Winchester, HA! I am wondering how this is still a functioning business?

From Business: We offer two convenient locations in Winchester and front royal Virginia, Same day appointments, Most insurances accepted & Saturday appointments also. Dr Katz is…
I took my daughter here and it was an awful experience the second we stepped in. The ladies at the front desk were unkind and not professional when it came to questions about insurance. The appointment had to be rescheduled because of their lack of communication with me about insurance. Yet I still had to pay the cancellation fee. The numbers they stated changed three times as we asked more questions and it was quite the commotion. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
Do not go here! Only gave it 1 star because I had to, should be ZERO. They should be banned from doing business in Winchester for unethical business practices! Watch your insurance claims & get your copayment refunds if you go here. They WILL take advantage of you! Doctor was nice but office staff we're rude, not helpful & don't care about their patients, everyone of them should be out of a job! Maybe then the would appreciate their customers & be happy they have a job! There are a plenty of other good doctors in Winchester, do yourself a favor and go any place else!
Doctors are great, unfortunately, they lost a patient due to a discriminatory billing manager. Back in January, I had an MS flare up and couldn't go to the appointment, I called with my head killing me to let them know. They will not let go of a $25 missed appointment fee - that is now accruing interest. I submitted this to the Better Business Bureau and will be calling the State Attorney General! I was sick and she still won't release this bill. She won't take my calls and every person I speak to there sympathizes with me. What kind of practice is this????
