This is a more casual dining experience. Great place for families and children. There is additional outdoor seating on the porches and an open field where children play. The evening we were there was very busy and the service was mediocre. Our drinks were never refilled. We ordered pizza which was very good. If you want to stay away from the hectic congestion of Jackson after a day of hiking, this is the place to go for a comfortable atmosphere and regular food.

food sucked

we were starving so we decided Calico seemed like a pretty safe bet...WRONG i ordered the alaskan king salmon with the spinach ravioli and it was probably the worst experience ever. it was the worst salmon i have ever had, and the ravioli sucked!!! how do you screw up ravioli????? anyway my husbands meal was 10 times better he had the chicken parmesan.
my advise? GO NEXT DOOR TO THE ""Q"" ROADHOUSE, we ate there the time before and it was delicious and at a very good price, with friendly atmosphere.

If you would've blindfolded me, sat me down and served me dinner, I would've guessed we were in a fast-food Italian chain like Fazoli's (without the yummy breadsticks).

The three saving graces of this place: the meatballs are pretty good and the house wine is Mondavi (nice surprise)! Also, the restaurant is removed from either part of the towns, so it's a very peaceful view, if you can sit by the window.

The people were friendly, service was fine. Can't say I'd recommend or ever go back. It was just okay.
