Truly fantastic, professional, and caring staff...my family and I have been here multiple times and every time its a great experience. I would recommend this place both as a family practice and an urgent care to anyone. Also they have very reasonable rates for anyone who does not have insurance. From the front staff to the back staff and all of the providers there- these guys have it together! I work in the medical field so I am very critical of medical offices and I honestly say...top notch service guys....great job!
My sister got bit by Cat while volunteering. She went immediately to the doctor. We waited for over an hour and thirty minutes to be seen by a doctor. There were 2 people ahead of us both who were seen. We thought it was our turn to be seen next because it is first come first serve. Another gentleman walks in sees receptionist, and sits down. A nurse comes out and we think "yay! Our turn" but no. They call the gentleman who literally had been waiting 5 minutes to be seen next. We ask the receptionist why he got called and they said, they are getting ready for you next. That didn't seem fair. When we finally got inside, the nurse asked what happened. When she found out about it being a cat bit she was more concerned about the cats information and calling animal control. We told her that Pet Smart had it controlled and the adoption agency was taking care of it and that she immediately went to doctor to be seen. The nurse did not ask about my sisters pain, how she felt, she inquired about how many bits there were and kept pressing on who the adoption agency was and asked why she didn't know where the cat was. I understand they have an obligation to call animal control and report the issue. However having this being their first priority when my sister is the one who paid to be serviced is not the service you would expect. Especially in this case when an animal shelter has the animal confined and it's not a wild animal right off the street. When the doctor came in we literally saw Dr Channing for 2 minutes who said, it's not a big deal we get these every day. Well just put you on antibiotic. My sister kept asking questions and the Doctor seemed eager to get out. The nurse came back in asking more questions about the woman who's contact we gave her from adoption agency. For being in the care industry customer service and compassion should be #1 focus. The way the care professions at this establishment treated my sister left a bad impression.
Dr. Jeremy Pepper and his staff are exceptional professionals. They always make you feel comfortable, always willing to listen without rushing you. Always accommodating, Never rude or unprofessional. I recommend this facility to any one who needs a Dr. who takes the time to hear you. I travel from Jacksonville, NC.
One of the things I noticed first at PCUC was the cleanliness. The waiting room and patient areas were immaculate! The Dr. who took care of me provided me with the information and care I needed to get better, while not talking down to me like I was a toddler. Would recommend PCUC to anyone in Wilmington looking for urgent care.
I HIGHLY recommend this UC over any other in Wilmington! You are in and out in less than an hour! Very friendly, concerned & compassionate staff. No long wait in lobby, nor a long wait in the room. Even called my pharmacy to order my RX to where I only had to pick it up and then even gave me a follow-up call - not always - but they do when they can. And, being a religious nut job (follower of Christ) myself - I was having a stressful time in my life - shared it with the dr and he offered to pray with me - so that spoke volumes to me along with everything else I mentioned!!!
Friendly urgent care, and fast, they make u feel comfortable..I recommend.
This urgent care was extremely slow!!! I took my mother here while she was visiting. When we arrived we were told an hour wait, it ended up being three and half hours. Not only that one of the nurses there acted like she was put out of her way. I'm an RN myself and you should never act like a patient is an inconvience to you. The ladies at the front desk were nice and friendly, however called patients up multiple times for different aspects of the admission process.
Went into port city urgent care yesterday to be seen. The PA took his time with me to ask questions and then sent me to the emergency room at new hanover. After staying in the ER until 3 am, I was told to make an appointment with the same endocrinologist recommended to me by the PA at Port city urgent care. I tried making an appointment but was told I was not allowed to without a referral. So I called PCUC around 11am, was told the referral would be sent today with a follow up phone call afterwards. Four hours later... Still no word. When I called back to see what was going on, a man answered the phone and was very rude to me and ended up making me cry. He said it would have to wait until next week sometime. I tried explaining to him that the doctor in the ER told me it was very important that I get an appointment TODAY, seeing as I need a biopsy done. But he continued to get an attitude with me and being very rude. Oh and if the PA acts concerned about you and gets your number "saying he's going to check up on you once you're in the ER," Ha, not a chance of that happening. They act like they care, but once you're out the door they could care less. I will never be going back here for treatment and I advise the same to you. Just very rude and incompetent people working in this office that doesn't care about the well being of the patient. If i could give them no stars I would. Now I'm stuck in a severe amount of pain, very irritated, but nothing can be done to help me because they're too lazy to get anything accomplished at this office. Like I said, they don't care at all about the well being of their patients.
Everyone there is super nice and they actually listen to you! The best part was I was having problems with my pharmacist and what my insurance would cover; so, I called the dr. Office back and they called the pharmacist and pushed him to get things moving and too look for other options. I have never had a doctor office help me the way they did!
I got great service. The staff did a good job. The physicians got my reports to my doctor quickly. The price was not more than I expected
