When I arrived home after my most recent visit, I discovered a mistake they had made when servicing my car. I called the service department first thing in the morning the next day they were open and informed Brian, the service manager, what I found. I said that I didn't think it was safe to drive my car until the issue was fixed, and that I lived out of town and needed some way to get to work today. He responded kindly and without question, and started making immediate arrangements to fix my car and to make sure I didn't miss any work, well above and beyond what I expected. I didn't have to explicitly ask for anything, he took all the initiative to make it right! John, one of their service representatives, followed up and was very apologetic, and made sure everything was resolved for me. I got my car back in great condition. I was so impressed with the quality of service I received here, and would confidently take my car back to Capital Ford next time it needs work done.

These guys are amazing. I first encountered them about 3 years ago when I bought a Nissan Titan. I was warned they were working on the 4x4 at the time so it may need to figure out exactly what was wrong with it. After purchasing it the 4WD was not engaging. I took it back to the dealership and they replaced the entire 4x4 system from the switch to the transfer case. These guys went above and beyond for me then and then today when I traded in that same Nissan Titan and bough a new Jeep from them. They gave me better than fair value for my truck and sold the car at a great price. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable with everything that was happening and did everything they could to get my payments where I wanted them to be and Robbie succeeded. I am now a happy repeat customer as this is the 2nd car I have bought from these guys and will gladly buy the next vehicle I purchase there as well.
Because auto dealers have such a high mark-up on their vehicles, I've only purchased TWO personal vehicles from a car lot (including this one). I must say that our experience with Bruce Cavenaugh was superb! It was a "NO HASSLE" transaction! Not only did they give me what my trade-in was worth, they had us in and out in no time. I highly recommend Bruce Cavenaugh's Automart to anyone who is buying a car. We live in Durham, NC and have no problem traveling for what we want and I'm so glad we made the decision to buy from Bruce. Please take these reviews with a grain of salt. All of our cars are dealer trades that go through a thorough safety and emission inspection. We NEVER cheat people or sell junk cars. Most reasonable people understand that it is impossible to predict what repairs a car may need six or twelve months down the line. We also can't help if someone buys a car before you get to it. I know it's frustrating but we cannot hold cars without a deposit. Please read our reviews on google and Facebook if you really want to see how we do business. And I don't have a secretary so one of these people simply has the wrong place.
My husband and I stopped by a few car lots in Wilmington, and decided to stop by Bruce Cavenaugh. Great decision! A gentleman came out, introduced himself, I told him in detail the type of vehicle I was looking to purchase and he said "I have exactly what you just described". He was right! They are truly amazing. I went on vacation a couple weeks ago to North Carolina and my car broke down on I-40. I told the tow truck operator that I wanted someone who is going to work on my BMW and not rip me off. He brought me to Wilmington Motor Works and they were nothing but nice and honest to me. Up in NY, we have mechanics that are rip offs, but not WMW. They gave me a great deal and I will definitely be recommending family, friends, and every one else there. Tim and Dan are awesome! My bf got his car there and recommended them so I went and I am glad I did! Lee doesn't pressure you into buying which I appreciated. He told me to look around and come get the keys if I wanted to look inside any vehicle or test drive one. After 2 days I finally settled on a 2012 Toyota camry and I love it! I might mention too he sold it to me for a $1000 BELOW the Kelly blue book value! Great place and now my bfs sister is gonna shop there next!
You couldn't find more honest people! Bruce and Matt are very caring people and will bend over backwards to get the right deal that works for you. Dave Kohl manages Green Meadows which is part of the Automart. They ensure all vehicles are in good working order before put on the lot. I have always had great service and have never had issues with my vehicles after they have been serviced.
We have purchased several vehicles from Bruce and his son Matt over the last 12 years. The attention to our needs has always been top notch and they have stood behind the vehicles if any problems have occurred. Cape Fear Auto Exchange sold me an AWESOME CAR!! BMW 525i This is the best car Ive ever driven. Jason treated me like I was a VIP. He got me financed even though I was at a new job.
