I was looking up Stuart's phone number to send him some business, and saw the one-star review that someone else had written. All I can imagine is that it was a competitor or someone who is simply nuts. I've been doing real estate for 20 years in New Hanover County, and used a lot of surveyors. There are certainly some good ones out there, and some I would not wish on my worst enemy. Stuart is among the very best of them. He is thoughtful, experienced, and has found many a problem that other surveyors have missed. He is practical and hands-on. His surveys are accurate and well-respected. One of the most expensive surveyors I know of, by contrast, certainly has a nice truck, but is lazy and dishonest. One survey I saw that Surveyor X did showed streets that were not even there anymore! He had not even gone out to the property, but was relying solely on Geomapping. Another adds a fee every time you want to add something to the survey that the client needs. I could go on and on, but at least let me make this pitch for Cape Fear Surveying - I think they are among the best 2 or 3 in town - period.

Do NOT do business with him !

He just wants to rip you off. He won't do the work.



I hired him to draw a plan of my property.

He never send me the plan.

He never sent me an invoice.



But: He sent me multiple threatening letters.

Attempted phone calls to resolve the matter were handled beyond unprofessional and uncourteous to say the least.



If I could rate them on the this website with "negative stars" I would.
