WORST RENTAL COMPANY IN WILMINGTON. BEWARE. My roommate and I were extremely excited to find a property close to the beach. We confirmed that no one else had applied, and immediately put in an application, each paying $120. Although guaranteed an answer within two days, Dianne Perry and Co. took over a WEEK to contact us. During this time, they claimed to have computer troubles. When we finally were contacted, they informed us that we were not the top applicant. This was said after they directly LIED to us- stating there were no other applications. As if this was not unethical enough, Dianne's staff was EXTREMELY rude over the phone- often times ignoring our calls and stating things such as "we have a lot of other things to get done, this is not high on our list." Nicole, the desk receptionist, is unprofessional and incapable of her job. I could not be more disappointed with the service I received from this company. They lost two well qualified, mature renters in the process. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
We rented under this company for around two years and moved out recently to buy our own home . We had no issues with the owner , with the property (Wich was old ) , and no issues with Dianne Perry and Co. On the rare occasion something came up they were really kind and communicated well. They did keep almost all of our deposit for repairs but we are totally fine with it because we have three very young children living with us . I’m sure they could have tried to charge us more than the deposit but they didn’t . They didn’t try to take advantage of us . We ended things on good terms . After the company before Dianne Perry , we thought we’d never trust another realtor company ever again...but she changed that and made it a good expiernce .
DO NOT RENT FROM PROPERTY PLUS CAROLINA!!!!!! When we moved in the kitchen and bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and looked like they had not been cleaned at all, even by the tenant before moving, let alone the professional cleaning lady that that we were told would clean the house before we moved in. Kitchen appliances are from the age of the dinosaurs and work at a 50% efficiency rate at best. (Fridge doesn't stay closed and spoils your food, Burners on the stove have to be wiggled to work, and dishwasher? Might as well just wash them by hand so they actually come out clean) There were nails and holes in the walls everywhere that should have been filled before our arrival. They did not inform us of the existing termite problems with the house or that the owner of the house was going through a refinancing process that would cause weekly foreclosure notices to be sent to our house. This lack of communication caused my husband and I to panic and think we would have to find another place to live at any time. Also they have only one handy man available for repairs so there is no telling how long it will take for any issue to get fixed. Examples: 1. Element in oven burnt out the week before Easter and it took 2 weeks for the handy man to get out to replace it. So I had no oven for Easter Sunday. 2. Our house loses shingles almost every small storm. I had warned them to come check the roof for leaks they ignored me until there was a leak that caused water damage inside the house and even after informing them of the water damage inside the house it has been over a month and to this date has still not been repaired. In none of the above circumstances did Property Plus Carolina show any remorse or act apologetic in any way. So in conclusion Property Plus Carolina DOES NOT care about the tenants that rent from them or even the home owners that entrust them with management of their home. All they care about is collecting those checks and making money. So I repeat DO NOT RENT FROM PROPERTY PLUS CAROLINA!!!!

Pinewood is a great community! I love the maintenance and office staff! I love the location too since it's close to the interstate, mall, uncw and everywhere else in Wilmington! I highly recommend Pinewood
I have never regretted anything as much as I regret living in Hawthorne because how the management has personally made me living there such a complete nightmare. It has the potential to be a really wonderful place but it isn't and that is completely the fault of the management. I am pretty understanding, as I have been for seven months of living here. However, I was told the roaches would be taken care of since the day I moved in. They 'didn't receive" our written complaints, and in person they said "yeah the office gets roaches too". When they finally barged into the apartment complex without permission, we were told it was our fault because of the condition our apartment was in. I have attached pictures of our apartment to show you what nonsense that is. Also, I will post a picture of the roach situation. Please note this sticky trap was the only thing they gave us for the roaches in addition to lying to us about doing sprays and charging us for it. This trap was also filled to this point within a few days of having it. I will have to throw away all of my personal appliances, as they are infested with roaches. The only thing they have ever been on top of is fees. However, I argue, that maybe instead of worrying about my emotional support animal and telling me that having him is a "privilege" and demanding my therapist produce a letter immediately so I don't get fined (which she can't do) why don't you prioritize anything else? Maybe you should make the walls more sound proof so I don't have to listen to you gossiping about residents and smoking outside of my complex all day. Or you could get rid of the roaches. Or you could actually fix my smoke alarm which has been broken for months. Hope we don't have a fire! Maybe you could tow the obviously abandoned car that has been there since I have moved in. Maybe you could ensure more safety precautions so I'm not attacked by a loose pitbull again. Or am not harassed by men when I go for a walk during the day.
Always on top of things, gives you plenty of notice when not going to be in office. , They keep it clean , and although the parking is not what I prefer but it is what all other places are doing. Stephanie and dave and josh are great to help you when ever you need it.
As if making our move from New Jersey to North Carolina wasn't hard enough this two faced rental company didn't make anything easier. After driving 12 hours to move into our house on July 4th weekend 2016. We arrived in wilmington around 11am during 100+ degree weather to find that our air conditioning wasn't working. No one in the office responded to our calls that day. Nor was the emergency phone number being answered. Until 2am that night. When we moved in the house was a mess. None of the walls had been painted and there were a ton of holes from previous walls hangings from previous tennants. When it came time to get the security deposit back they charged us for everything they could find. Including 400$ for a new door. They told us it was going to be 180$. Not 400$. They also charged us for light bulbs and batteries in smoke detectors. We left the house in better condition than we got it in. Property plus carolina is a joke I would never rent from them again.
Awful company to do any business with. I can attest to the follwing as an extremely unhappy tenant. They are defamatory, decietful and completely unprofessional. They are not listed on the BBB as I am confident this is the norm at this company. They have lost me thousands of dollars on renters whom stopped paying bills and moved out. Nothing was ever done. I'm still a current customer under lease till June 30th 2017 and I have never been so unhappy with a company. To start we moved in this rental and had a list a mile long of problems and after narrowing it down to a couple major ones was told the owner did not approve of these repairs!! Now the biggest ones were the front and back doors do not close properly causing the Ahvaz system to cool the outside....you can visually see outside with the door completely closed. I've contacted them and was told sorry not our problem. So now since they are trying to renew our lease for a year at 20$ more per month and we declined due to our brand new home under construction and will be ready August 25th they are trying to parade potential clients in the house while we aren't home! Now I get your trying to protect your rental and replace the tenant ASAP but I refuse to allow her or her ridiculous staff the privilege of waking as much as one foot inside until we are gone. I have a 90lb Sherman Shepard that guards the place 24/7 and was told to secure the animal or she would let my dog out the house to show her potential clients the rental......BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!!!! Take the time to read the response that was given to me from Dianne and tell me you would even consider rentin from this so called property management company.......Refuse to repair the unit, threaten me with letting my beloved animal out the house.....let's just say I wish she decides to walk in the u it while I'm out home ��������.
