After paying for our order I was handed our bags. I opened them and placed my hand on the fries and they were cold. I asked if we could please have some fresh fries. After a couple of minutes he returned the bags to me and they felt hot. I knew the burgers were going to be cold since they were made before the wait for the fries. The buns were so covered in grease that we had to blot them with paper towels. They had kept the old fries and simply placed some fresh ones on top in addition to pouring a ridiculous amount of salt on them.I called the toll free number and told customer service . He told me he'd have them call and that they'd probably offer to replace the meal. I explained that I wasn't interested, I just wanted a refund. He said he'd make that clear. An Ernie from the restaurant called and said "Just tell them Erie said give you a free combo." I told him I didn't want it since we got a half can of salt on fries when we asked for hot fries, I could only imagine what would be done to free food for a complaint and I didn't want to eat spit. He said "That never happens, I don't even know how you got that much salt." (Really Ernie? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. He's obviously not too terribly bright)."I can't give you your money back without getting the food back". I told him I threw it out after speaking with the office. If the rep had told me to save it to return, I would have. I told him that I'd have to call the corporate line again and that I'd be sure to tell everyone I knew about the experience I'd had and how horrible his customer service was and encourage them to spend their money at other restaurants."I don't care! I've got plenty of business!" The corporate office told me that wasn't the way they wanted customers treated and that Ernie must be a lower manager and they'd be contacting the regional manager. ERNIE DOESN'T APPRECIATE OR NEED YOUR PATRONAGE-HE HAS ENOUGH BUSINESS. GO ELSEWHERE AND SAY ERNIE SENT YOU!
