Gwen cut my hair last week and did an excellent job. Staff is very friendly and the place is in a convenient location. Pricing is more than fair. I would highly recommend!
Cons: Unclear if the pedicure tools were sanitized. The nail files looked like they had not been cleaned. The nail technician dropped the nail polish brush on the floor. She did not clean the brush (aside from picking off something stuck) and put it back in the bottle like nothing had happened. A bottle of PVC cement was on one of the tables next to the pedicure station. I've never been to a salon that hasn't washed my hair before cutting it - the stylist cut my wavy hair while it was dry.Pros: Friendly staff. My haircut looks cute. My mom's toenails look nice. The price was $20 for my haircut and $30 for the pedicure. Sanitary practices are important to me. I will not return.
They are the only salon that has every tried to cut my very long, thick hair dry?? Even after I asked for a wash, they did the worst haircut I've ever had. I asked for side bands, and they literally cut a solid chunk out of the side. It looked atrocious! And if that wasn't bad enough, I also asked them to layer my hair and the only did ONE side!! It looked so horrible, I had to have my aunt (who had NO professional experience) fix it, and she even did a better job! If you live in South Williamsport, I highly recommend Holly from Shear Impressions, or Jamie from Shear Textures!
Asked for a fill for my gel nails. Was told my nails were fake and weren't gel. Since they had filled them last time you would think they knew the product. The gel is so thin that it's coming off in chunks and the polish is peeling off. Would rather drive back to NY and get them done here again
Look, I'm not one to write reviews, let alone negative ones. Going into a nail place, it's commonplace to expect the employees to speak very little English. I have no problem with that, more power to them and whatnot. However, I've been here a few times and the service was downright terrible. The mail girls and gentlemen speak to each other and laugh the whole time in (Chinese but don't quote me on that). Whatever, I can deal. The wait is always ridiculously long (45 minutes to get my eyebrows waxed because only one employee can wax? No thanks). However this review is protest from an experience I just had. I'm in the Giant shopping center going to get my eyebrows waxed at Holiday Hair before a date but they're closed. The open sign is blinking at the nail salon next door, the door is open, there's people inside. I go to walk in and the man at the counter stands up and yells "No. We closed!" We'll jeeze, a simple 'sorry, we close at 6:30' would be nice. No need to be rude, your open sign was on. What was I supposed to think? Moral to the story, don't be rude to customers/potential customers because that's how you lose them VERY fast.
I went to Head to Toe to get an eyebrow wax. The girl who did my wax was not very friendly at all. She waxed one eyebrow then showed me through the mirror, I said it looked good. She then waxed the other one.. After I got into my car, I looked at my eyebrows, and they were completely lop-sided and totally uneven! The girl who did my wax was named Macenzie. I will never go back!
